USAGE

IMPORTANT! Record serial number from the tag on the back of the safe or from the tag on the front bottom corner of safe.Keep keys and combinations in a secure place, away from children.Do not store the backup key, combination, or this document in the safe.

WARNING! Keep safely closed and locked atall times when not in use. Children could accidentally be locked inside the safe.Do not move this safe using its handle. The handle should only be used for opening and closing the door of the safe.Do not store electronic media, computer disks, audio-visual media or photographic negatives in this safe. This material will not survive the rated internal temperature of the safe. This material may be damaged or destroyed.

ANGLE ASSEMBLY

Screw three handle spokes into hub and hand tighten. Spokes are located in front foam packaging. (See Figure 1)

NOTE: Do not use this handle to move the safe.

BATTERY INSTALLATION

1. You must first install the battery, which is located in the front protective styrofoam.

NOTE: When changing the battery, always hold the battery connecting cap while disconnecting or attaching the battery. Do not pull on the wires. Doing this could cause the power supply to become disconnected from the lock.

1. This safe uses one 9V alkaline battery.
2. When the battery is low and you press a button on the keypad, a red light will turn on, warning you that the battery is low.
3. To replace the battery, remove the cover by pressing the tab and turning the cover. (See Figure 2)
4. Replace old battery and screw cover back in place.

USAGE CONTINUED

ELECTRONIC LOCK

1. After Installing the battery, to open an electronic lock the first time, press the following numbers/symbols on the electronic keypad In this order 1-5-9-4. These numbers are preset.

NOTE: You should change the entry code as soon as possible after opening the safe to ensure proper safety and security.

1. After you have entered the factory code, you will need to turn the handle clockwise to open the door. You will have five seconds to turn the handle before the locking mechanism is

ENTERING SECURITY CODE

To enter a new security code. follow the steps below:

1. After opening the electronic safe with the preset factory code of 1-5-9-It. locate the small red button on the inside of the door (near the hinge).
2. Press the red button and release It: safe will beep. The yellow light on the faceplate will activate and stay on for a period of time to enter your code. You can only enter code while the yellow light Is
3. With the door open and the yellow light on. enter new security code. which can be three to eight digits long; and confirm new code by pressing the ” symbol on the electronic touchpad. Before closing the door. try the new security code to make sure the lock releases the handle so you can turn it and retract the live-action bolts.

NOTE: DO NOT SHUT THE DOOR UNTIL CONFIRMING THAT THE NEW SECURITY CODE HAS BEEN ENTERED CORRECTLY.

4 if the code falls. go through steps one to three again. If the code works successfully. record combination in a secure place. away from children. not Inside the safe. Then. close and lock the safe.

2. If the Incorrect security code Is entered three times. you will have an automatic lockout for 20 seconds before you can try your code again.
3. If the Incorrect security code Is entered three additional there will be a five-minute lockout before the code can be tried again.

LOCKING THE SAFE

To lock the safe, close door and rotate the handle counterclockwise unfit it stops. If the handle is not turned until it slops, the locking mechanism will not lock.

 NOTE: Because the locking mechanism is deactivated for approximately three to six seconds after the combination is entered, wait a minimum of six seconds from the time the combination is entered to lock the safe.

TURNING THE KEYPAD SOUND OFF/ON

You can turn off the ‘beep’ sound of the keypad by entering We code 6 3 3.To turn the ‘beep’ sound on. enter the code 6 6.

SELECTING A LOCATION

1. Safe must be mounted to the floor. For optimal safety and security. the sale should be installed adjacent to a side wat with minimal space on either side of the safe and in an isolated, secure area.
2. The safe should be flat against the wall and Remove the baseboard if necessary.

CAUTION! Children should not play with or around the safe at any time.

SECURING THE SAFE

NOTE: The safe must be secured to the floor. Use the hardware provided or consult Wine Customer Service at 1-800-295-5510 about fastening hardware for your particular mounting surfaces.

NOTE: This state must be mounted to the floor. Failure to do so will compromise the safety and security of the safe.

1. To secure safe to the foot. drill pilot holes through the fire insulation in the floor of the First, place the safe in the desired location. Lift the bottom carpeting up to find the two-hole locations marked on the floor insulation. Drill holes through the insulation wing the same diameter drill as the diameter of the mounting hardware you are using.IMPORTANT! The fasteners you use must completely fill the hole you drilled into the Insulation. (See Figure 3) You must use the fasteners after you drill the holes. Failure to do so will void the fire rating.
2. Use these holes to fasten the safe to the fool. DnI1 the appropriate diameter and depth of pilot holes into the floor depending on the type of hardware being used and the type of floor surface.(See Figure 4)
3. Secure safe with fasteners and replace carpeting.BACKUP KEYA backup key has been prowled in case you have forgotten or lost your security code. To open the safe using the backup key, follow the steps below:
   1. Remove the cover by pressing the tab and turning the cover. (See Figure 5) The lock can hang by the connecting cable while unlocking the safe.
   2. Insert key in keyhole and turn clockwise a quarter-turn (until stopped) in order to unlock the safe. Rotate the handle and open the door.
   3. Keep the door open until you have entered a new security code. Before entering your new code. remove the key and screw the cover back in place.
   4. Enter your new security code following the instructions on page 2.
