• This heat mat is suitable for indoor household use. Do not use this heat mat outdoors.
• Keep the heat mat in clear sight.
• Do not leave the heat mat unattended.
• This heat mat is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the device by a person responsible for their safety.
• This heat mat is not recommended for use by children 12 years and under.
• Adult supervision is required when children are using this heat mat.
• Do not allow children to play with this heat mat.
• Do not immerse the heat mat into water.
• Do not place an additional heat mat or any other hot object on top of the heat mat.
• Do not puncture or tear the heat mat.
• Do not cover the heat mat with materials with insulating properties.
• Do not use this heat mat in conjunction with a grow light or direct sunlight. Doing so will lead to the overheating and drying out of seedling’s roots.
• This heat mat is made purposely to assist seeds to grow into seedlings. Leaving the seedlings to grow in the cell tray on the heat mat may lead to undesirable results.

OVERVIEW

OPERATION

This heat mat is designed to be used in conjunction with the Certa Seed Propagation Tray (sold separately). It may also be used with other propagation kits.

1. Prior to placing your cell tray on the heat mat, fill the cells of the cell tray with starter mix or pellets. Plant your seeds and water the starter mix or pellets. If using pellets, they should turn dark brown and fully expand in the cells. Pour out excess water from the pellets.
2.  Place the heat mat away from water and direct sunlight.
3. Place the drip tray on top of the heat mat. Place the cell tray on top of the drip tray and cover with the dome.
4.  Plug the attached power cord of the heat mat into a power socket and turn it on. The heat mat will start heating.
5. Keep track of the seeds over the coming days. When seeds begin to germinate, prop the dome open about 3-5cm in height.
6. When approximately half the seeds have grown to seedlings, remove the dome and unplug the power cord to the heat mat. Transplant the seedlings out of the cell tray. Once the seedlings have been transplanted, new seeds can be planted in the cells.

Note:Do not leave the seedlings to grow in the cell tray with the heat mat. This may lead to undesirable results in the plant’s growth.
