Set Up
- Open shipping carton. Assembly > Unpacking
- Shipping Support. Assembly > Remove Shipping Support Hardware.
- Connect the battery. Assembly > Connect the Battery. Push two halves of battery connector together tightly.
- Add oil. Assembly > Add Engine Oil.Recommended: 5W-30, up to 16.9 fl. oz. (500 ml) DO NOT overfill.
- Move the generator outdoors. Move generator to an open, outdoor area. Point exhaust away. Never run generator in enclosed areas (e.g., not in house or garage). Keep all objects at least 5 feet (1.5 m) from generator. Heat from the muffler and exhaust gas can ignite combustible materials.
- Add fuel – Gasoline or Propane (LPG)Assembly > Add Fuel FOR GASOLINE OPERATION:DO NOT USE E15 OR E85
- DO NOT plug in any electrical devices. NEVER START OR STOP THE GENERATOR WITH ELECTRICAL DEVICES CONNECTED OR TURNED ON!
- A. Starting the Engine: Gasoline Electric Start1. Turn the EZ Start Dial to the full “CHOKE” position.2. Press and hold ignition switch on EZ Start Dial.3. Turn the EZ Start Dial to the full “RUN” position. Manual Start1. Turn the EZ Start Dial to the full “CHOKE” position.2. Pull the recoil to start the engine.3. Turn the EZ Start Dial to the full “RUN” position. B. Starting the Engine: Propane (LPG) Electric Start1. Open the propane tank valve.2. Turn the EZ Start Dial to the full “CHOKE” position.3. Press and hold ignition switch on EZ Start Dial for 2 – 3 seconds.4. Turn the EZ Start Dial to the full “RUN” position.5. Press and hold ignition switch on EZ Start Dial for up to 5 secondsor until started. Manual Start1. Open the propane tank valve.2. Turn the EZ Start Dial to the full “CHOKE” position.3. Pull the recoil 2-3 times to prime the engine.4. Turn the EZ Start Dial to the full “RUN” position.5. Pull the recoil to start the engine.
- Plug in. Operation > Connecting Electrical Loads.
