Emits red light when you press any key.· Short press to turn on the ceiling light. The ceiling light will automatically return the status before it was turned off.· Additionally, this button can be used to pair/unpair the remote control with the ceiling light. For instructions, see the Remote Control section of this user guide.· Short press to increase the brightness step by step.· Long press to increase brightness gradually.· Short press to increase the colour warmth step by step.· Long press to increase the colour warmth gradually.· Set the night light status to Warm Light (3000K) with 10% brightness.· Press any key to release from this function.Set the light setting to cyclic conversion: Cool Light Medium Warm Light Warm Light· Short press this key to set the ceiling light to turn off automatically after 30 minutes.· Press any other key to release from this function.· Short press to decrease the brightness step by step.· Long press to decrease brightness gradually.· Short press to decrease the colour warmth step by step.· Long press to decrease the colour warmth gradually.Press this key to set the ceiling light to medium warm light of 4000K with lower brightness.Short press this key to turn off the ceiling light.
INSTALLATIONNote: The ceiling light must be installed by a licensed electrician. Step 1:· Open the package and remove the ceiling lamp. Pull the metal chassis outward and remove it.· Turn off the power supply to avoid electric hazards.Step 2A: To install the light directly into the ceiling:· Pass the power cable through the threading hole of the metal chassis. · Fix the metal chassis to the ceiling with expansion screws and self-tapping screws. · Ensure the metal chassis is fixed firmly.
Step 2B: To install the light into an installation point mounted on the ceiling:· Ensure the installation point is mounted firmly. · Pass the power cable through the threading hole of the metal chassis. · Fix the metal chassis to the mount using the self-tapping screws. · Ensure the metal chassis is fixed firmly. Step 3: · Strip 8-10mm of the power cable as shown in the image.10mm· Insert the stripped end of the power cable into the metal chassis interface. · Check that the cable is secure and is aligned. · To remove the power cable, press the red button on the metal chassis and removethe power cable. Step 4:· Align the side of the ceiling light so that the opening of the groove is towards the metal chassis. Slide the ceiling light into the metal chassis completely.· Push it gently against the ceiling level and you will hear a click sound. · Ensure the ceiling light is fully seated.
CONNECT TO SMARTERHOMETM APPInstall App Download the “Kogan SmarterHome” app from the Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS).Register If you do not have a Kogan SmarterHomeTM account, register or sign in with a verification code sent by SMS.To register: 1. Tap to enter registration page. 2. The system automatically recognises your country/area. You can also select your country code manually. Enter your email address and tap `Next.’ 3. Alternatively, you can select `Register by mobile number’ and enter the verification code sent to you by SMS. 4. Create a profile on the next page to define your location and room.
Set device in pairing modeWhen the device is first turned on, it may automatically enter pairing mode which indicated by ceiling light flashing rapidly.If not automatically in pairing mode when powered on, you can manually set the device in pairing mode by turning on and turning off the wall switch for 3 times until the ceiling light starts flashing rapidly.Add device through network5. Once registered, tap “+” in the upper right corner of the app’s home page to add a new device through the network.6. Select the product type from the list of options in the app (Lighting > Indoor Bulb).7. Ensure that the device is in pairing mode, with the ceiling light flashing rapidly, and tap “Confirm light is rapidly flashing”.
8. Upon successfully confirming pairing mode, enter your Wi-Fi details. It is important that your SmarterHomeTM device and the app are connected to the same Wi-Fi network during setup.9. The device will commence the pairing process and connect to the app. Ensure your Wi-Fi router, mobile phone, and the SmarterHomeTM device are kept close until connection is complete.10. After successfully being added, you will have the option to rename the device and assign it to a location. It will now be listed on the app’s home page. Tap the device listing to enter its control page.Notes: · The device and the app have to use the same Wi-Fi network. · The device is only compatible with 2.4Ghz networks.
REMOTE CONTROLBy default, the remote control will be paired with the ceiling light when taken out of the package. You can also pair and unpair using the Power On button on the remote control.Pairing with the Ceiling Light 1. Turn off the ceiling light at the wall switch for 10 seconds. 2. Turn on the ceiling light at the wall switch. 3. Within 30 seconds after turning on the light, press and hold the Power On button on the remote until the light flashes 3 times. Your remote is now successfully paired with the ceiling light.Unpairing the Remote with the Ceiling Light 1. Turn off the ceiling light at the wall switch for 10 seconds. 2. Turn on the ceiling light at the wall switch. 3. Within 30 seconds after turning on the light, press and hold the Power On button on the remote until the light flashes 6 times. Your remote is now unpaired with the ceiling light.Group Control using the Remote You may connect multiple ceiling lights to the same wall switch and pair them to the same remote control. There is no limit on the quantity of ceiling lights that can be controlled by the same remote at the same time. For group control by the same remote, ensure that all ceiling lights are connected to the same wall switch. To control/pair the remote with a group of lights:1. Unpair the remote with each individual ceiling lights as instructed in the Unpairing the Remote with the Ceiling Light section.2. Turn off the group of ceiling lights at the wall switch for 10 seconds. 3. Turn on the ceiling lights at the wall switch. 4. Within 30 seconds after turning on the ceiling lights, press and hold the Power Onbutton on the remote until the lights flash 3 times. Your remote is now successfully paired with all ceiling lights.
GOOGLE HOME CONTROLNote: You will need to have set up a Google Home account prior to linking your Kogan SmarterHomeTM device.Adding “SmarterHome” to the Google Home app 1. From the home page of the Google Home app, select the “+” icon to access the `Add and manage’ page. 2. Select `Set up device’, then under the Works with Google banner, select `Have something already set up?’ 3. Select the search bar and type `Smarter Home’ to locate the Kogan SmarterHomeTM service.
4. Tap `Authorise’ to grant Google permission to access the SmarterHomeTM app and your devices.5. From here, you will be prompted to sign into your SmarterHomeTM account using either your email or mobile phone number, depending on which method you used to register your account.
6. Once connected, the app will display any compatible devices linked to your SmarterHomeTM account. From here you can assign them to rooms and set up any routines.7. Tap on any of the devices to view a list of available commands.Note: Please note that Google Home can only control the base/core functions of any compatible SmarterHomeTM devices. To make full use of this product’s smart functionality, please use the Kogan SmarterHomeTM app.
AMAZON ALEXA CONTROLNote: You will need to have set up an Alexa account prior to linking your Kogan SmarterHomeTM device.Adding “SmarterHome” to the Alexa app 1. From the home page of the Alexa app, select the ” ” icon in the top-right and select Skills & Games from the sidebar. 2. Select the search bar and type `Smarter Home’ to locate the Kogan SmarterHomeTM skill.
3. Tap `Enable to Use’ to add the Kogan SmarterHomeTM skill to Alexa.4. From here, you will be prompted to sign into your SmarterHomeTM account using either your email or mobile phone number, depending on which method you used to register your account.5.
