Safety Notes

  •  The product is intended for private, non-commercial use only.
  • Use the product for its intended purpose only.
  • Protect the product from dirt, moisture, and overheating, and only use it in an adry environment.
  • Do not use the product in the immediate vicinity of heaters or other heat sources or in direct sunlight.
  • Do not use the product in areas where the use of electronic devices is not permitted.

Warning –Batteries

  •  When inserting batteries, note the correct polarity (+ and -markings) and insert the batteries accordingly. Failuretodosocouldresult in the batteries leaking or exploding.
  •  Only use batteries (or rechargeable batteries) that match the specified type.
  • Before you insert the batteries, clean the battery contacts and the polar contacts.
  • Do not allow children to change batteries without supervision.
  • Do not mix old and new batteries or batteries of a different type or make.
  • Remove the batteries from products that aren’t being used for an extended period (unless these are being kept ready for an emergency).
  • Do not short-circuit batteries.
  • Do not charge batteries.
  • Do not throw batteries in a fire.
  • Keep batteries out of the reach of children
  • Never open, damage, or swallow batteries or allow them to enter the environment. They can contain toxic, environmentally harmful heavy metals.
  • Immediately remove and dispose of dead batteries from the product.
  • Avoid storing, charging, or using the device in extreme temperatures and extremely low atmospheric pressure(for example, at high altitudes).

Getting Started

NoteThis remote control is intended as a secondary or replacement remote control for Hama radio-controlled sockets. It cannot be guaranteed that it will work with radio-controlled sockets of other manufacturers

Open the battery compartment by removing the two rockers. Insert the included battery into the battery compartment. Note the polarity marked in the battery compartment. Then carefully press the two rockers back into the switch housing until they snap into place.

 Troubleshooting

  1.  The remote control does not workCheck whether the battery has been inserted with the poles facing the proper directions. You can check this by making sure that the label on the battery corresponds to the polarity marked inside the battery compartment.
  2.  The radio wall switch cannot be switched on or off even though the remote control is working properlyCheck that the socket in question is of Hama make and is equipped with the learning function. Repeat the steps above under “Learn the function of the radio-controlled socket” and, if necessary, contact Hama technical support or the retailer where you purchased this product.

 Mounting

NoteThe texture of the mounting surface is crucial for the adhesion of the double-sided adhesive strips. Ensure that the surface is stable, dry, and free of dust and grease. It is not advisable to apply adhesive strips to vinyl wallpaper, polystyrene, or non-stick, silicone, or Teflon coatings. Pleaseuse appropriate rawlplugs and/or screws (not included in delivery) for this purpose instead.

  • Remove one of the foils from each double-sided adhesive strip.
  • Place the two adhesive strips on the rear of the mounting plate.
  •  Firmly press the adhesive strips on for about 10 seconds.
  • Remove the other foil from each double-sided adhesive strip.
  • Place the mounting plate on the wall in the intended mounting position.
  • Firmly press the mounting plate to the wall for about 10 seconds.
Care and Maintenance

Only clean this product with a slightly damp, lint-free cloth and do not use aggressive cleaning agents.
