To obtain warranty service on your HoMedics product, either handdeliver or mail the unit and your dated sales receipt (as proof of purchase),postpaid, along with check or money order in the amount of$5.00 payable to HoMedics, Inc. to cover handling.
Upon receipt, HoMedics will repair or replace, as appropriate, yourproduct and return it to you, postpaid. If it is appropriate to replaceyour product, HoMedics will replace the product with the same productor a comparable product at HoMedics’ option. Warranty is solelythrough HoMedics Service Center. Service of this product by anyoneother than HoMedics Service Center voids warranty.

Note: The handle may warm up during charging. This has no effect on theunit’s operation. VibraDent Sparkle comes with 3 color coded brush heads for multiple users.
CHARGING INSTRUCTIONSFollow this procedure before you useVibraDent Sparkle for the first time.To reduce the risk of electric shock, this appliancehas a polarized plug (one blade is widerthan the other). This plug will fit in a polarizedoutlet only one way. If the plug does not fitfully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it stilldoes not fit, contact a qualified electrician toinstall the proper outlet. Do not change theplug in any way.1. Plug the charger base into a 120-volt outlet.Place the handle into the base and allow itto charge for at least 16 hours before usingit for the first time.2. The charger indicator light will show redwhen the unit is correctly placed in thecharger base. The indicator will go outwhen the toothbrush is removed from thebase.3. The optimum voltage for charging is 120V.4. To maintain the unit’s full performance, itshould always be stored on the chargingbase after use.Note: Charge for at least 16 hours beforeusing the unit for the first time.
HOW TO USE VIBRADENT SPARKLE1. Attach the brush head to the handle by positioningthe brush head at a 90o angle to the left of thehandle. Turn the brush head counter clockwise onequarter turn, so the bristles are facing the samedirection as the ON/OFF button. (See Fig.1)2. Before brushing, rinse your mouth thoroughly andwet the brush head to moisten, then apply toothpaste.3. To avoid splashing, guide the brush head to yourteeth before switching the unit on. Place the brush in aslanted position, 45o towards the gum line.4. Press the “ON” button to activate the unit.5. Gently guide the brush head from tooth to tooth,spending a few seconds on the surface of eachtooth.6. Brush the gum lines as well as the teeth, startingwith the outside teeth and gums, followed by theinsides and finishing with the chewing surfaces.7. Do not press too hard or scrub with VibraDent Sparkle.Allow the unit to do the work.8. The auto timer feature will automatically turn the unit offafter the 2-minute dentist recommended brushing time.NOTE: To turn the unit off before the 2 minutes haveelapsed, simply press the “OFF” button.9. Rinse mouth thoroughly with water.10. Brush heads should be replaced every 2-3 monthsto ensure optimal performance.HoMedics replacement heads (RH-V) for thismodel are available at your local retailer or checkwww.homedics.com for a list of retailers that offerthese replacement heads.
Note: To maintain optimal performance, we recommendthat you replace your brush head every 2-3 months.Note: We recommend soaking the brush head in a denturecleaner (commercially available) every 2to 4 weeks to keep it hygienically clean.Caution: All servicing of thisunit must be performed by authorizedHoMedics service personnel only.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE1. After use, rinse the brush head for several secondsunder running water with the handle switched on.2. Switch the handle off, and take off the brush head.3. Rinse both parts separately under running waterand wipe them dry. Note: Be sure to point thehandle downward (upside down) when rinsing. Donot allow water to drain down into the handle.4. After cleaning place the VibraDent Sparkle handleback on the charging base.5. When VibraDent Sparkle is not in use for anextended period, unplug the cord and store.6. Clean the charger base periodically with a soft clothor paper towel. The charger base must be drybefore plugging it into an electrical outlet.
MEDICAL SAFEGUARDSPlease note the following instructions for your continuedsafety.1. Similar to starting any new oral hygiene product,contact your dentist before using VibraDent Sparkle ifyou have had oral or periodontal surgery.2. Contact your dentist if excessive bleeding occurs or ifbleeding continues after 2 weeks.3. This product is designed for cleaning teeth and gumsonly. Do not use for any other purpose.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONSREMOVING AND DISPOSING OF NI-CAD BATTERIESVibraDent Sparkle is equipped with long-lasting,rechargeable nickel-cadmium batteries. To help protectour environment, they should be removed at the end ofthe unit’s life for safe disposal. Batteries CANNOT bereplaced.To remove the batteries before discarding product:1. Place the handle in the charging base and turncounter clockwise to remove the cap.2. Slide the battery out of the handle and remove.3. Dispose of the cell-pack in compliance with national orlocal regulations for environmental protection andrecycling of raw materials. Do not dispose of thecell-pack by burning or incineration.
Caution: Opening the handle will destroy the appliance and invalidate the warranty.Note: During the first few days of using, your gums may bleed slightly. Any bleeding shouldstop within a few days. If your gums continue to bleed for a period of 2 weeks or more,discontinue use and consult your dentist.
