ACURITE
Outdoor Clock with Temperature and HumidityUser Manual
1. Remove the Weather-Resistant Cover
Access the battery compartment by pulling off the weather-resistant cover. Be careful not to damage the cover during removal.
2. Set the Time
Turn the set knob on the back of the clock in either direction.
3. Install or Replace Batteries
AcuRite recommends high quality alkaline or lithium batteries for the best product performance. Heavy duty or rechargeable batteries are not recommended.
The clock requires lithium batteries in low temperature conditions. Cold temperatures can cause alkaline batteries to function improperly. Use lithium batteries in the clock for temperatures below -4ºF / -20ºC. Insert 1 x AA alkaline or lithium battery into the battery compartment, as shown. Follow the polarity (+/-) diagram in the battery compartment. Replace the weather-resistant cover and secure using screws.
4. Calibrate the Temperature and Humidity
The pointer may move during shipping, causing the thermometer/ hygrometer to read temperature/humidity inaccurately. If the thermometer/hygrometer is reading incorrectly, compare the temperature/ humidity reading to a known accurate thermometer/hygrometer. Let both thermometers/hygrometers adjust to room temperature for at least three hours. If the new thermometer/hygrometer continues to read inaccurately, adjust the pointer by turning knob on the back of the unit in the appropriate direction.
DO NOT HANG IN DIRECT SUNLIGHT!
For the most accurate temperature readings choose a location that will not be exposed to direct sunlight or other direct heat sources.
