SETUP

Install or Replace Battery

Remove the battery compartment cover.

  1. Pull the plastic tab below the battery (if applicable) to remove it and discard the tab.
  2.  Insert 1 x 3V CR2032 lithium battery into the battery compartment, as shown. Follow the polarity (+/-) diagram in the battery compartment.
  3. Replace the battery cover.

WARNING: THIS PRODUCT CONTAINS A BUTTON-CELL BATTERY. IF SWALLOWED, IT~ COULD CAUSE SEVEREINJURY OR DEATH IN JUST 2 HOURS.

SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION IMMEDIATELY IF INGESTED.

OPERATION

Using the ScaleMeasure Weight

  1. Place the scale on a flat, stable surface.
  2. Press the “ON/TARE” button.
  3. Wait for the display to show “0.0”.
  4. Press the “KG/LB” button to toggle between grams (kg:g) or pounds and ounces (lb:oz).
  5. Place item(s) to be weighed on the scale.
  6. Weight will be shown on the display. Press the “KG/LB” button to convert between metric and standard units at any time during weighing.

Zero & Tare FunctionsTo measure items as they are added, use the Zero and Tare Functions.

  1. Place the first item(s) on the scale.
  2. Without removing the item(s), press the “ON/TARE” button to reset the display to “0.0”.
  3. With the first item(s) still in place, add the next item to the scale. The display will now show the weight of that item.
  4. Press “ON/TARE” again to reset the display to “0.0”.
  5. Repeat these steps (3-4) until all items have been added.

Minus FunctionIf you add multiple items to the scale at one time to get a total weight, you can measure the weight of a single item or ingredient by using the Minus Function:

  1. Add item(s) to the scale.
  2. The total weight will be shown on the display.
  3. Press the “ON/OFF ZERO” button to reset the display to “0.0”
  4. Remove item(s).
  5. The value shown on the display with the Minus Function indicator (-­) indicates the weight of the removed item(s).

Warning Messages

Replace the battery (see page 4).

Maximum capacity has been exceeded. Remove items to prevent damage.

Power the Scale ON/OFFThe scale will automatically power off when the display shows “0.0” or the same weight for 1 minute. Press the “ON/TARE” button to power the scale on. To power off manually, press and HOLD the “ON/TARE” button for 3 seconds.

StorageThe scale should be stored in a cool, dry place. The scale can be stored on a level surface or can be hung by using the integrated hang hole.

Care & Maintenance

Store in a dry location at room temperature. Clean with a soft, damp cloth. DO NOT immerse in water or use caustic cleaners or abrasives. All parts should be wiped clean immediately after direct contact with foods. Avoid contact with acids and citrus juices. Use the scale on a hard, flat surface. DO NOT strike, shake or drop the scale. Scale is not designed for commercial use.
