Why should I use the adapter?
Where you connect a microphone to a computer or a mobile phone depends on the connector the microphone utilizes, so sometimes you will need an adapter or connector to help you. Generally speaking, this earphone microphone with 2 adapters can connect to nearly all devices with an independent 3.5mm audio jack, such as mobile phones with a 3.5mm audio jack, voice recorder, voice amplifier, desktops, laptop, tablet, video camera and so on. If the device has no independent 3.5mm audio jack, an original adapter or connector is needed, such as iPhone 7 or above series and the HUAWEI Mate 40 series that have only one lightning or Type C port.
How do I know which adapter I should use for my device?
For parts of phones or computers with two audio jacks that do not compatible with the earphone microphone, you will have to use the adapter to help you.You can connect the microphone with your device in the following two ways, shown as picture:
- Connect the straight metal adapter and the earphone microphone together, then plug the male port of the metal adapter into the phone such as Moto(All Series).
- Connect the 3.5mm 2-in-1 adapter and the earphone microphone together, then plug the 2-in-1 adapter (with two male ports) into a computer with two audio jacks, speaker, camera, and line-in recorder.
When you use it as a microphone, there will be different sound effects for different devices.
- For iPhone smartphones and computers: you can hear your voice and accompaniment from the earphone while speaking/singing and in the replay;
- For Android smartphones: you can only hear your voice and accompaniment in the replay, which means you will only hear accompaniment from the earphone when you are speaking/singing;
- For computers: if you are singing songs with the 2-in-1 adapter, you will hear your voice and accompaniment from the earphone; but if you are chatting, you will only hear the voice on the other end (instead of yours).
Note: This 2-in-1 adapter is a whole part and the two male ports are not allowed to be separated into two parts.
