Thank you for your purchase from Kmart.
Kmart Australia Ltd warrants your new product to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the period stated above, from the date of purchase, provided that the product is used in accordance with accompanying recommendations or instructions where provided. This warranty is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Kmart will provide you with your choice of a refund, repair or exchange (where possible) for this product if it becomes defective within the warranty period. Kmart will bear the reasonable expense of claiming the warranty. This warranty will no longer apply where the defect is a result of alteration, accident, misuse, abuse or neglect.

You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. Instructions
Antenna Basics
Variables unrelated to product performance can affect reception. These include obstacles and terrain between the transmitter and your antenna, radiated energy from electronic components and building materials such as concrete or aluminum paneling. Consider these factors during installation. For best results, test the antenna in multiple locations until you find a position that provides the best reception.
Configure For Best Signal
Use the following guide to ensure that the best reception signal can be achieved.
CoverageCheck your reception coverage in your area by visiting http://myswitch.digitalready.gov.au/ and entering your address. This antenna is suitable for areas with Good Coverage. If your address does not have Good Coverage, you may not be able to pick up all digital channels with this antenna. A rooftop antenna may be necessary.
AnglePosition the front or back of the High Gain Antenna to be facing the strongest transmission tower. (Indicated on myswitch.digitalready.gov.au by the green line)
Location
Placing the High Gain Antenna near a window will also increase the signal strength.
AmplificationAdjust the amplification dial until a strong signal is achieved. Some areas won’t require amplification, meaning the adapter is not required.
Try different angles, locations and amplification levels until a strong signal is achieved for all channels.
Connecting
1. Connecting the High Gain Antenna to a TV
- a. Connect the antenna cable to the Amplifier
- b. Connect the Amplifier to the antenna input on your TV
- c. Connect the Power Adaptor to the DC SV socket on Amplifier
- d. Plug the Power Adaptor into a mains power point and switch the power point on
- e. Tune channels as per your TV instruction manual
- f. Adjust the UHF and VHF dials on the Amplifier and move dipoles on the antenna until you achieve the clearest signal
TIP: Areas with strong signals may not require the amplifier. If you are not receiving a signal, try unplugging the amplifier (and plugging the antenna directly into your TV) and adjust the dipoles.
2. Connecting the High Gain Antenna to a Set Top Box
- a. Connect the antenna cable to the Amplifier
- b. Connect the Amplifier to the antenna input on your Set Top Box
- c. Connect the Power Adaptor to the DC V socket on Amplifier
- d. Plug the Power Adaptor into a mains power point and switch the power point on
- e. Tune channels as per your Set Top Box instruction manual
- f. Adjust the UHF and VHF dials on the Amplifier and move dipoles on the antenna until you achieve the clearest signal
TIP: Areas with strong signals may not require the amplifier. If you are not receiving a signal, try unplugging the amplifier (and plugging the antenna directly into your TV) and adjust the dipoles.
FAQs and Other Useful Information
Do I have to use the amplifier?The power adaptor can improve the signal in some cases. If you are already receiving a good signal you do not need to use the amplifier.
What can I do to improve my reception?You need to find the best signal for the antenna. This can often be achieved by moving the antenna to face different directions or different locations. Also try to adjust the dipoles and amplifier strength. Follow the guide in ‘CONFIGURE FOR BEST SIGNAL’.to maximize the signal received by the antenna.
Why are some channels not appearing on my TV or set top box?After connecting the antenna, make sure you scan for new channels in your TV or set top box’s channel menu, otherwise they may not appear when you try to change channels.
Can I use this antenna outdoors?This antenna is designed for indoor use only.
Tips and Troubleshooting
- Move the antenna around to find the best place for reception in your room.
- Never mount the antenna until you have tested the antenna in that location.
- Some locations are not suitable for indoor antennas. If you are still having difficulty producing an adequate signal after all steps in this manual have been attempted, a rooftop antenna may be required.
- In regions with very strong reception signals, too much amplification can result in a poor picture. Plug the antenna directly into your TV/Set Top Box without the amplifier to improve the reception.
