IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDWhen using electrical appliances. Basic safety precautions should always be followed including the following:

  1. Read all instructions.
  2. Make sure that your outlet voltage corresponds to the voltage stated on the ratinglabel of the toaster.
  3. Do not touch a hot surface. Use handles or knobs only.
  4. To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plug, or any part of thetoaster in water or other liquid.
  5. Close supervision is necessary when it is used by or near children.
  6. Unplug the unit from the outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
  7. If the supply cord is damaged, DO NOT use it. For electrical safety, any repairs to theproduct should only be carried out by a qualified electrical person only or the product must be disposed of.
  8. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of the table or counter or touch a hot surface.
  9. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
  10. Do not use the appliance for anything other than its intended use.
  11. Oversize food, metal foil packages, or utensils must not be inserted in the toaster asthey may cause fire or electric shock.
  12. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturermay cause injuries.
  13. Don’t attempt to dislodge food when the toaster is in operation
  14. Be sure to take the bread out carefully after toasting so as to avoid injuries
  15. Warning: if toast of small bread slices less than 85mm in length, you must pay attentionto the potential risk of burning when taking out the slices.
  16. The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
  17. Don’t use the appliance outdoors.
  18. This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:-­ Staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments; ­– Farmhouses; ­– By clients in hotels, motels, and other residential type environments; ­– Bed and breakfast type environments.
  19. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reducedphysical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
  20. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
  21. Caution, hot surface. Care must be taken. The surfaces are liable to get hot during and immediately after use.

CAUTION: The bread may burn, therefore the toaster must not be used near or below curtains and other combustible materials. The toaster should be attended to when in use.WARNING! Never operate the toaster on its side. To prevent damage to the toaster, DO NOT toast with extremely runny ingredients such as butter, jam, and other sugary ingredients. Adding any food substances to bread, muffins or crumpets can cause an electric shock and/or fire. This toaster is for toasting bread, crumpets, and muffins only.SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY

KNOW YOUR TOASTER

FOR THE FIRST USE

Manufacturing residue or oil that remained in the toaster heating element may emit an odor when used for the first time, this is normal and will disappear after few minutes of use. When using for the first time, we suggest following the below steps under the heading USING YOUR TOASTER, except without bread. Then let the toaster cool down and begin toasting the first slice.

USING YOUR TOASTER

  1. Put bread slice into the bread slot. Two slices of bread can be inserted at most every time. Only regular bread slices can be placed into the bread slot.NOTE: Make sure the crumb tray is completely positioned in place before using.
  2. Plug the power cord into the outlet.
  3. Set color (browning) control to your desired color. There are 7 levels, the lowest “1” is for light toasting color and the highest “7” is for dark toasting color. The bread slice can be toasted to golden color in the middle position.NOTE 1). The toasting color for one slice is darker than that for two bread slices at the same level.2). If toasting continuously, the toasting color for the latter bread will be darker than that for the previous cycle at the same level.
  4. Lower the carriage handle down vertically until it is latched in place. The indicator of Cancel will be illuminated, and the appliance will begin toasting.NOTE: The carriage handle can only be latched when the appliance is connected to mains power.
  5. Once the bread has been toasted to the preset color, the carriage handle will automatically pop up.NOTE: During toasting, you may also observe the toasting color. If it is satisfactory, you can press the Cancel button to cancel the operation at any time, but never lift the carriage handle to cancel the toasting.
  6. If you want to toast frozen bread, set the color control knob to your desired color, and then lower the carriage handle down vertically until it is latched in place. Press Defrost button and the indicator of Defrost button will be illuminated. In this mode, the bread will be toasted to your desired color.
  7. If you want to warm cold toasted bread, firstly lower the carriage handle vertically until it is latched in place. Press the Reheat button and the indicator Reheat button will be illuminated. In this mode, toasting time is fixed for all level settings. The carriage handle will automatically spring up and end up the reheating process.

CAUTION

  1. Remove all protective wrappings prior to toasting.
  2. If the toaster starts to smoke, Press Cancel to stop toasting immediately.
  3. Avoid toasting the food with extremely runny ingredients such as butter, jam, etc.
  4. Never attempt to remove bread jammed in the slots without unplugging the toaster from the electrical power outlet first. Be sure not to damage the internal mechanism or heating elements when removing bread.
  5. The bread slot is designed for toasting a regular bread slice only.
  6. In order to achieve a uniform toasting color, we recommend that you wait for a minimum of the 30s between each toasting cycle so that color control can reset automatically.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  1. Before cleaning, unplug the appliance from mains power and let the appliance cool down completely.
  2. Wipe the outside with a soft dry cloth, never use metal polish.
  3. Pull out the crumb tray at the bottom of the toaster and empty it. If the toaster is used frequently, accumulated bread crumbs should be removed at least once a week. Make sure the crumb tray is completely closed before using the toaster again.
  4. When not in use or during storage, the power cord may be wound under the bottom of the toaster.
