Battery replacement instructions for your Bell Smart Home equipment.
Enclosed you will find the replacement battery for your Bell Smart Home device or sensor. Please refer to the list below to identify the device or sensor belonging to you that requires a battery replacement, then follow the step-by-step instructions on how to replace it.
Battery Disposal

Instructions
Please start by disarming your system.
Recessed Door / Window Sensor
Battery Type: 1 x CR2
Before removing the circuit board, notice that it fits inside a channel on the inside of the case. When replacing the board, ensure you fit it back into the same channel for a proper fit.
- Carefully insert a small flat-head screwdriver into the notch in the sensor cover and pry open to remove the top cover.
- Remove the circuit board. The battery is attached to the end of the circuit board.
- Remove the existing battery.
- Install the new battery, ensuring the (+) side is facing up.
- Carefully slide the circuit board back into the sensor the same way you removed it to ensure a proper fit.
- Replace the cover.
- Contact Technical Support to confirm the battery replacement was successful and the sensor is in proper working order. Contact numbers are located at the end of this document.
Door / Window Sensor or Flood Detector
Battery Type: 1 x CR2
- Insert a small flat-head screwdriver into either side of the unit and carefully twist to separate the top and bottom plastic cases.
- Observe the battery polarity.
- Remove the old battery.
- Install the new battery, maintaining proper polarity.
- Replace the sensor cover.
- Contact Technical Support to confirm the battery replacement was successful and the sensor is in proper working order. Contact numbers are located at the end of this document.
2GIG Flood Sensor
Battery Type: 1 x CR2
- Place your thumb on the tab located on the top of the sensor and push down until the sensor case separates.
- Remove the cover from the base.
- Observe the battery polarity.
- Remove the old battery.
- Install the new battery, maintaining proper polarity.
- Replace the sensor cover.
- Contact Technical Support to confirm the battery replacement was successful and the sensor is in proper working order. Contact numbers are located at the end of this document.
