WHAT’S IN THE BOX?

Let’s do a quick check of what’s included in your purchase. You should have the following items:

All servicing of this massager MUST be performed by authorized BELMINT service personnel ONLY.

NOTE:

The Belmint Full Body Stretch Massage Mat with Air Inflation will automatically shut off after15 minutes for your safety.

INTENDED USE

  • The device is intended for massaging and stretching your neck / shoulders / back and buttocks / lumbar region and is used for relaxation. It is not a replacement for medically required treatment.
  • The maximum loading capacity for the device is 110 kg.
  • The device is best suited to people who are at least 1.65 m tall.
  • Do not use the device before going to bed. The massage has a stimulating effect, which may lead to problems getting to sleep.
  • The device is not designed to be operated with an external timer or a separate remote control system.
  • This device is for personal use only and is not intended for commercial applications.
  • Use the device only for the intended purpose and as described in the operating instructions. Any other use is deemed to be improper. Incorrect operation and incorrect handling may cause faults with the device and cause injury to the user.
  • The following are excluded from the warranty: all defects caused by improper handling, damage or unauthorised attempts at repair. This also applies to normal wear and tear.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  • This device may be used by children aged 8 and over and by people with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or a lack of experience and/or knowledge if they are supervised or have received instruction on how to use the device safely and have understood the dangers resulting from failure to comply with the relevant safety precautions.
  • Children must not play with the device.
  • Cleaning and user maintenance may not be performed by children, unless they are supervised.
  • Children younger than 8 years of age and animals must be kept away from the device and the mains cable.
  • Babies and sleeping or unconscious people may not be placed on the device.
  • Do not use the device if it should still be damp. It must be completely dry before it can be switched back on again.
  • Do not switch on the device when it is rolled up.
  • Do not insert any safety pins, drawing pins or other pointed objects into the device.
  • Do not use the plug adapter with another device and never use the device with another plug adapter.
  • The device should only be used and stored out of the reach of children and animals. Improper use can lead to injuries and electric shock.
  • The device must always be disconnected from the mains power when left unattended and before cleaning it.
  • If the device, the mains cable or the plug adapter are damaged, they must be replaced by the manufacturer, customer service department or a specialist workshop in order to avoid any hazards.
  • Follow the instructions in the “Cleaning and Storage” chapter!
DANGERS FOR THE FOLLOWING GROUPS OF PEOPLE
  • Pregnant women should not use the device or use it only after consultation with their doctor.
  • People with a pacemaker may use the device only after consultation with their doctor.
  • People who have no feeling in their neck or back or people with circulation problems may not use the device.
  • Do not use the device on swelling or sore areas of skin.
  • If you have any concerns about your health, consult a doctor before using the device.
DANGER – DANGER OF ELECTRIC SHOCK FROM WATER
  • Use and store the device only in closed rooms. Do not operate the device in rooms with high humidity.
  • Never immerse the device in water or other liquids! Ensure that the device, the mains cable and the mains plug cannot fall into water or become wet.
  • Should the device fall into water, switch off the power supply immediately. Do not attempt to pull the device out of the water while it is still connected to the mains power!
  • Never touch the device, mains cable or plug adapter with wet hands when these components are connected to the mains power.
  • Do not use the device if it has malfunctioned or been dropped in water. Have it checked in a specialist workshop before using it again.
WARNING – DANGER OF ELECTRIC SHOCK FROM DAMAGE AND INAPPROPRIATE USE
  • The plug adapter should only be connected to a properly installed socket with safety contacts. The socket must also be readily accessible after connection so that the connection to the mains can quickly be isolated. The mains voltage must match the rating plate of the device.
  • Do not connect the device to an extension cable.
  • The device must be switched off when the plug adapter is pulled out or inserted into the plug socket.
WARNING – DANGER OF FIRE
  • Do not use the device in rooms containing easily ignitable or explosive substances.
  • To prevent overheating, do not use the device under a blanket or similar cover. Do not place the mains cable or the controller on or beneath the device during operation.
  • Do not use the device in bed.
  • Unwind the mains cable fully before connecting the plug adapter.
CAUTION – DANGER OF INJURY
  • The device may only be used by people who are able to handle the controller.
  • Danger of tripping! Make sure that the connected mains cable does not present a trip hazard.
NOTICE – RISK OF DAMAGE TO MATERIAL AND PROPERTY
  • Make sure that the mains cable is not squashed, bent or laid over sharp edges and does not come into contact with hot surfaces.
  • Switch off the device and pull the plug adapter out of the plug socket if an error occurs during operation or before a thunderstorm.
  • When the plug adapter is removed from the plug socket, always pull on the plug adapter and never the mains cable.
  • Do not pull or carry the device by the mains cable. Never wind the mains cable around the device or the plug adapter.
  • Use only original spare parts from the manufacturer. If accessory parts which are not authorised by the manufacturer are used, all warranty and guarantee claims are void.
  • Never place heavy objects on the device or the mains cable.
  • Protect the device from heat sources, naked fl ames, sub-zero temperatures, persistent moisture, wet conditions and impacts.

  • WARNING – Danger of Suffocation! Keep children and animals away from the packaging material.
  • Never remove the type label and / or any possible warnings!

Unpack all parts and check the items supplied for completeness and any transport damage. Remove any stickers and film. If you find any damage to the device, do not use it (!), but contact our customer service department.

CONTROLLER

By pressing the buttons on the controller, the following functions can be selected:

USE

PLEASE NOTE!
  • The device must not be folded up or covered when it is switched on. Do not place the mains cable or the controller on or beneath the device during operation.
  1. Place the massage mat on the floor.
  2. Secure the cushion pad (3) to the massage mat using the hook and loop fastener.
  3. Connect the barrel connector of the plug adapter (12) to the connecting socket (11) on the cable of the controller (5).
  4. Insert the plug adapter into an easily accessible socket.
  5. Lie on the massage mat so that the air cushion pads (4, 6, 7) are located under the shoulders, the waist and the buttocks.
  6. Pick up the controller and press the On / Off button (13). The control lamp above the button lights up.
  7. Set the massage programme you want by pressing the buttons (see the “Items Supplied and Device Overview” chapter | “Controller”):
    • Stretch program (14): Gentle full body massage to stretch all areas of the body slowly and gently. Duration: 10 – 15 minutes
    • Relax program (15): Movements, based on simple yoga exercises, that help to gently loosen and relax the body. Duration: 9 – 12 minutes
    • Loosen program (19): Short programme, ideally after stressful days, helps to ease slight tensions with short, moderate movements. Duration: 6 – 9 minutes
    • Mobilizes program (21): The whole body is massaged and loosened with strong, invigorating power strokes. Duration: 15 minutes
  8. The intensity of the individual massage zones can be selected by pressing the buttons 16, 17 or 18 (see the “Items Supplied and Device Overview” chapter | “Controller”). We recommend starting off with intensity level 1 and slowly increasing the intensity.NOTE: When there is a change of programme, the medium intensity level is always selected automatically.Remain lying on the massage mat for the time you want. We recommend that you use each massage programme for no more than 15 minutes.
  9. Switch off the device using the On / Off button.
  10. Pull the plug adapter out of the plug socket and disconnect the barrel connector from the device.

CLEANING AND STORAGE

PLEASE NOTE!
  • Before commencing the cleaning, note the safety instructions in the “Safety Instructions” chapter!
  • Do not use any sharp or abrasive cleaning agents or cleaning pads to clean the device. These could damage the surfaces.
  1. Make sure that the device is not connected to the main power.
  2. Pull the barrel connector out of the connecting socket on the cable of the controller (5).
  3. Wipe down the mat with a slightly damp cloth. More intense soiling can be removed with a mild detergent.
  4. The device can be rolled up to make it easier to store or transport in a confined space. It can easily be closed up using the zip fastener (1). Remove the cushion pad (3) from the massage mat prior to rolling it up.
  5. Store away the plug adapter (12) on its own. Do not wrap the mains cable around the plug adapter when you do this.
  6. Keep the device and the plug adapter out of the reach of children and animals in a dry, frost-free place that is protected from the sun.

TROUBLESHOOTING

If the device does not work properly, check whether you are able to rectify the problem yourself. If the problem cannot be solved with the steps that are listed, contact the customer service department.

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REPAIR A DEFECTIVE ELECTRICAL DEVICE YOURSELF!

If the problem persists, please turn the POWER OFF and unplug the unit or call Belmint Customer Service at 845-388-1270.

DO NOT attempt to make adjustments to the plug or alter the plug, cord, or massage unit. Doing so may nullify the warranty.
