INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Filling the Ice Cube Plus Personal Space Cooler

Before filling the air cooler, make sure that it is switched off and unplugged from the mains power supply.STEP 1: Open the water tank at the back of the air cooler by twisting the water tank lock, carefully slide the water tank out just under halfway, checking that the water pump cables are not being either stretched or trapped.STEP 2: Using a suitable measuring vessel, fill the water tank with cold, clean water. The water level should be no lower than the min. fill line and no higher than the max. fill line. Alternatively, open the water tank top lid and fill the water tank with cold, clean water. Water filled this way will run over the evaporation pad before draining into the main water tank.STEP 3: The two ice packs can be used to achieve quicker, additional cooling; they should be full of water and left to freeze for approx. 8 hours before use. Place them into the water tank before it has been filled with water.STEP 4: To close the water tank, carefully push it back into position and twist the lock to make sure that it is secure.

Caution: Do not fill the air cooler with any liquid other than cool, clean water. Do not use any additives in the water.

Using the 6 Litre Air Cooler

STEP 1: Plug in and switch on the air cooler at the mains power supply.STEP 2: To turn on the air cooler and activate the purifier function, select the desired cooling speed by pressing any one of the adjustable cooling speed buttons (LOW, MID, HIGH).STEP 3: Activate the swing function by pushing ‘SWING’; the vertical grills of the air cooler will begin to turn left and right. To stop the vertical grills from turning, press ‘SWING’ once more.STEP 4: To regulate the airflow up or down, manually adjust the horizontal grills on the front of the air cooler.STEP 5: Cool and humidify air by pressing ‘COOL’. The air cooler will begin to circulate water across the evaporation pad. To stop the function, press ‘COOL’ once more.STEP 6: Turn off the air cooler by pressing ‘OFF’.

Note: The air cooler is not designed to significantly reduce the room temperature; it provides a cool breeze. When positioning the air cooler, do not lift it by the front panel; move it using the handles and the 360° castor wheels.

Warning: Do not use the humidifier function when the water tank is empty or if it is filled below the min. fill line.

The air cooler should not run continuously for more than 10–12 hours at any one time. Check the water level regularly.Do not attempt to operate the ‘COOL’ function if there is no water in the tank, as this will cause damage to parts.

STORAGE

Drain the water tanks and allow the air cooler to cool before storing in a cool, dry place. Carefully coil the power cable to avoid damage during storage.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

Always wait until the air cooler has stopped completely and unplug it from the mains power supply before performing any cleaning or user maintenance.

STEP 1: The water tank must be drained of water after each use. To do so, twist the water tank lock and carefully pull the water tank out from the air cooler. Twist the water pump lock on the bottom of the water tank to remove the pump and free the water tank. Carefully empty the contents of the water tank down a drain. Once the water tank has been drained, wipe away any excess water with a soft cloth.

STEP 2: To clean the mesh filter, remove the two securing screws at the back of the air cooler and remove the mesh filter carrier. The mesh filter carrier can be pulled away from the air cooler; remove any loose fibres by hand, taking care not to pierce the mesh filters. The mesh filter can be washed in warm water with a mild detergent and a soft brush; allow to dry thoroughly before use.

STEP 3: Wipe the air cooler with a soft, damp cloth and allow to dry thoroughly. Replace the mesh filter carrier and reinsert the securing screws.Do not use flammable liquid, abrasive cleaning solvents, polishes or scouring pads to clean the air cooler, as this may cause damage.

Note: Clean the air cooler and all of its parts regularly to reduce the risk of limescale and bacteria forming.
