In addition, do observe the instructions of the devices used in conjunction with the product.General Safety 

  • A headlamp is intended for installation and operation in a vehicle with 12V vehicle system voltage and can be used as headlights with relevant models such as H4, H7, H8/H11/H16 & HB3/HB4 halogen lamps.
  • Ensure the headlamp does not have defects before installation.
  • Keep the headlamp away from children.
  • Keep the headlamp away from flammable areas or liquids.
  • The headlamp should be stored in dry and low humidity place.
  • Avoid skin contact with the high temperature/ working headlamp when replacing the headlamp. Allow the headlamp to drop to room temperature before replacing the headlight.
  • Do not modify the product, or expose the product to dust, grease stains, or scratch the surface of the headlamp.
  • Do not look directly at the operating headlamp, it may cause eye damage.
  • After installation, ensure below are working correctly
  1. Correct light/beam pattern
  2. Indicators are working
  3. Wiring is connected correctly
  4. Covers are installed back to the car correctly

TROUBLESHOOTING

If any of the following problems occur, please resort to Troubleshooting for possible solutions. Consult Blaupunkt authorized dealer if the problem persists.

Problems Causes Solutions
One of the headlamps doesn’t work The headlamp has burned out. Replace with a new headlamp.
Both headlamps don’t work The fuse has blown. Replace with a new fuse.
Incorrect wiring connections. Examine if positive and negative power connectors are connected correctly.
No power to the circuit, bad ground or failed switch. Examine if the wiring for power, ground, or switch are connected correctly.
Dim Headlight Broken alternator or power supply problem. Examine if the power supply voltage is correct.
Weak car battery. Recharge the weak car battery or replace it with a new car battery.

DISSEMBLING

  1. Open the hood of the vehicle.
  2. Find the installed location of the original halogen bulb.
  3. Remove the halogen bulb from the headlight housing.

H4/H7 INSTALLATION

Applicable for H4 & H7

  1. Remove the cap plate from the headlamp.
  2. Insert the cap plate and secure it with the retaining spring clip.
  3. Install the headlamp into headlight housing and turn clockwise to secure it.
  4.  Please ensure the diodes (LED chips) of the headlamp are in a side-to-side orientation.
  5.  Connect the headlamp cable to the vehicle wiring harness.

H8/H11/H16 & HB3/HB4 INSTALLATION

Applicable for H8/H11/H16 & HB3/HB4

  1. Install the headlamp into the headlight housing and turn clockwise to secure it without removing the cap plate.
  2.  Please ensure the diodes (LED chips) of the headlamp are in a side-to-side orientation.
  3. Connect the headlamp cable to the vehicle wiring harness.

  • A warning canceller adaptor may be needed in case the warning signal lights up after installation.
  • Remove bulb, turn it 180° & reinstall in case bulb does not light up.
  • Fit for 12V vehicle only.
