BOSS IR-200 Amp and IR Cabinet

Using IR-200 IR Loader

This document explains basic operation of IR-200 IR Loader (subsequently referred to as “IR Loader”).

Preparing to Use IR Loader

Installing the USB DriverBefore you use IR Loader, the appropriate USB driver for the product you’re using must be installed on your computer.To obtain the latest USB driver, access the following website to download and install the driver for the IR-200.https: //www.boss.info/support/Follow the steps on the download page to install the driver.

Installing IR LoaderWindows users

  1. Download “IR-200 IR Loader” from the product support page.
  2. Double-click the downloaded file to decompress it.
  3. Inside the folder created by decompressing the file, double-click “IR-200 IR Loader Installer.exe.”Installation begins.Proceed with installation as directed by the installation screens.When you see the message “Completing the IR-200 IR Loader Setup Wizard,” click the [Finish] button.

Mac OS users

  1. Download “IR-200 IR Loader” from the product support page.
  2. Double-click the downloaded file to decompress it.
  3. Inside the folder created by decompressing the file, double-click “IR-200 IR Loader Installer.pkg.”Installation begins.Proceed with installation as directed by the installation screens.When the display indicates “The installation was successful. The software was installed.,” click the [Close] button.

Starting IR Loader

  1. Connect the IR-200 to your computer with a commercially available USB cable that supports USB 2.0.Do not use a micro USB cable that is designed only for charging a device. Charge-only cables cannot transmit data.
  2. In the [Start] menu, choose [IR-200] Ø [IR-200 IR Loader].Mac OS usersFrom the Finder, in the application/BOSS/IR-200 folder, double-click [IR-200 IR Loader (.app)].
  3. Choose “IR-200” for “Choose a device to connect with.” and then click the [OK] button.

Loading IR Data into the IR-200

  1. Click the download icon.A dialog box for opening the file appears.
  2. Select the IR file.Format of IR data that can be loaded

3. Select the IR data that you want to load, and click the [Open] button.This loads the data into the IR-200.If the IR data is in stereo, the following dialog box appears. Choose one of the channels  and click the [OK] button.

MEMO

  • It might take some time for IR data to be converted.
  • The converted IR data is automatically given a name. You can edit this name as necessary.

Once the data has finished loading, the app returns to the main screen.

Backing Up and Restoring the IR-200’s Memories and Settings From a USB Flash Drive

  1. Click the Menu icon.

Displays the BOSS support website in your Web browser.

The Owner’s Manual can be downloaded here.

BACKUP Lets you back up all memories and settings of the IR-200.
RESTORE Lets you restore the backup data to the IR-200 that you saved using the backup function.

NOTE This function overwrites all memories and settings on the IR-200.

DEVICE SETTING Checks/edits where the IR Loader is connected.
VERSION Shows the IR Loader version and license.
