SAFETY & WARNINGS

When using the electrical appliance, the below basic safety precautions should be followed:

  • Read these instructions thoroughly before use.
  • Do not discard of these instructions.
  • Before using check that the voltage power corresponds to the one shown on the appliance nameplate.
  • Do not operate any appliance with a damage cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. Contact Kogan.com for support.
  • Use the appliance on a level and stable work surface away from water.
  • The food should not be heated for too long.
  • Do not let the cord hang over the edge of table or counter.
  • Do not place the appliance on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven.
  • Do not operate the appliance without water, it may damage the heating element. If you notice the appliance is dry, you should immediately unplug it from the outlet. After cooling for 15 minutes, pour cool water in the appliance.
  • Keep the power cord away from fire and sources of heat.
  • While operating, be careful of the steam coming out from the top cover and do not face directly or place any part of the body above the opening on the top cover.
  • Always use mitts handling hot parts, avoid hot steam rising from the top cover at all times while in use. After sterilising, open the top cover carefully to avoid being scalded by steam.
  • The water in the base may still be hot after the other parts of appliance cool down, handle carefully.
  • Do not touch the hot parts such as base, heating element, top cover etc. to avoid being scalded.
  • Do not to move the appliance during operation, if required, be careful to avoid being scalded.
  • The use of accessories not included with this product may cause fire, electric shock or injury.
  • Always disconnect the appliance from the power outlet if it is left unattended and before assembling, disassembling or cleaning. Before cleaning ensure the appliance has cooled down completely
  • To protect against the risk of electrical shock, do not immerse the body and base in water or other liquids.
  • Always test the milk temperature before feeding your baby! Drip some milk onto the wrist to test the temperature.
  • This appliance can be used by children aged 3 years and above or persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
  • Cleaning and user maintenance should not be performed by children under 8 years old. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children aged less than 3 years.
  • Do not allow children to play with this appliance.
  • This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:– Staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments.– Farmhouses.– By clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments.– Bed and breakfast type environments.

OPERATION

Before First Use
  1. Remove all packaging materials from the appliance.
  2. Clean all the parts (see “CLEANING AND CARE”).
Using the Appliance

Before operating, ensure that the milk bottle warmer is unplugged and the knob is in the “OFF” position. This appliance does not have an auto shut-off function and needs to be manually switched off.

Defrosting:
  1. Install the milk bottle rack into the inner chamber. Ensure the milk bottle rack sits snug in the groove.
  2. Place milk bottles on the milk bottle rack. A maximum of two milk bottles can be placed into the inner chamber.
  3. Fill the inner chamber with the appropriate amount of water. The water level should align with the level of the milk in the milk bottle. Do not overfill the inner chamber.
  4. Close the top cover.
  5. Connect the appliance to the power outlet. Rotate the knob to the “Defrost” setting, the corresponding indicator illuminates blue and the appliance starts working.
  6. When the indicator turns off, rotate the knob to “OFF” position.
  7. Shake the milk bottle lightly and drip some milk onto the wrist to test the temperature before feeding.

Note:Do not heat milk for too long. Refer to table in “Heating Times”.

Warming milk:
  1. Install the milk bottle rack into the inner chamber. Ensure the milk bottle rack sits snug in the groove.
  2. Placed milk bottles on the milk bottle rack. A maximum of two milk bottles can be place into the inner chamber.
  3. Fill the inner chamber with the appropriate amount of water. The water level should align with the level of the milk in the milk bottle. Do not overfill the inner chamber.
  4. Close the top cover.
  5. Connect the appliance to the power outlet. Rotate the knob to the “Warm milk” setting, the corresponding indicator illuminates blue and the appliance starts working.
  6. When the indicator turns off, rotate the knob to “OFF” position.
  7. Shake the milk bottle lightly and drip some milk onto the wrist to test the temperature before feeding.

Note:Do not heat milk for too long. Refer to table in “Heating Times”.

Heating food:
  1. Put the container (without lid) loaded with baby food into the inner chamber.
  2. Fill the inner chamber with appropriate amount of water. Generally, the water level shall align with the level of the baby food in the container. And do not overfill the inner chamber with water.
  3. Close the top cover.
  4. Connect the appliance to the power outlet. Rotate the knob to the “Heat food” setting, the corresponding indicator illuminates blue and the appliance starts working.
  5. When the indicator turns off, the appliance stops working.
  6. After finish working, rotate the knob to “OFF” position.
  7. Please mix the food thoroughly and test the temperature of the food before feeding.

Note:Do not heat food for too long. Refer to table in “Heating Times”.

High-temperature cleaning:
  1. Install the milk bottle rack into the inner chamber. Ensure the milk bottle rack sits snug in the groove.
  2. Put the empty milk bottle or container (without lid) on the milk bottle fixing rack.
  3. Fill the inner chamber with 200ml of water. Do not overfill the inner chamber with water.
  4. Close the top cover.
  5. Connect the appliance to the power outlet. Rotate the knob to “High-temperature cleaning” setting, its corresponding indicator illuminates blue and the appliance starts working.
  6. When the indicator turns off, rotate the knob to “OFF” position.
  7. Once cooled down empty the inner chamber and wipe the body with a cloth.

Cautions

  • Do not use mineral water in this appliance as it may cause scale to build up in the inner chamber.
  • Before removing top cover, ensure the appliance has cooled down completely.
  • After completing operation, it is recommended that the appliance should rest for 10 minutes before performing another operation.
  • Always test the temperature of milk or food before feeding your baby.
  • Please empty all the water in the inner chamber and then refill it with fresh water before performing another operation.

CLEANING & CARE

  1. Before cleaning, rotate the knob to the “OFF” position and unplug the appliance and ensure it has cooled down completely.
  2. Never immerse the body and base into the water for cleaning.
  3. Rinse the top cover with clean water.
  4. Clean the inner surface using detergent and then rinse it with clean water. Wipe the outside surface with a wet cloth. Do not use corrosive detergent, detergent with chemical powder or hard metal wire mesh to clean as it will damage the appliance surface, reduce the service life and cause safety problems.
  5. When not in use, clean and dry the appliance, then store it in a dry, well ventilated area.
  6. The top cover can be also used as a dust-proof cover for protecting the inner chamber. Reverse the top cover and put it into the inner chamber.
Removal of Scale

The milk bottle warmer should be descaled regularly to assure it operate effectively.

  1. Before cleaning, rotate the knob to the “OFF” position and unplug the appliance and ensure it has cooled down completely.
  2. Fill the inner chamber with white vinegar or mixture of 3-parts citric acid to 1-part water.
  3. Connect the appliance to the power outlet, rotate the knob to “High-temperature cleaning” setting.
  4. Run the appliance for 10 minutes, and then turn off the appliance and leave it until the scale is being dissolved.
  5. Empty the residual water in the inner chamber and thoroughly clean it with water.
