Bue Sshower Chair
Thank you!The Bue shower chair’s unique design lets you adjust the foot positioning to maximize stability, and you can raise or lower the seat height for enhanced comfort and safety. The adjustability and ease of folding and unfolding make the Bue shower chair a convenient, portable option for supported bathing wherever you need it. To ensure safe installation and use of the chair, please read this manual thoroughly and follow all instructions as written.
About the chairThe Bue shower chair is intended to provide extra support for people while bathing in a shower or bathtub environment.
Warning:
- Users with limited physical capabilities should be supervised or assisted when using the Bue shower chair.
- The Bue shower chair has a maximum weight capacity of 400 pounds, or 180 kilograms. People that weigh over 400 pounds should not use the chair.
Unpacking the chairUpon unpacking the chair, inspect the seat and frame carefully. If you see any signs of damage, do not use the chair. Instead, email us at or call us at 1-800-256-3907 for servicing and/or replacement.
To position the feet, for each leg:
- Depress the locking pins on the leg with one hand.
- With the other hand, rotate the foot until the locking pins click into the appropriate holes. You will see the pins protrude and hear a click when they pop into place.
- Repeat this process for each leg until the feet are in the desired position. (Figure 5)
Unfolding the backrest
- Grasp the top of the backrest with one hand and the seat with the other.
- Pull the backrest away from the seat until it snaps into the clips on the legs. You will hear and feel a click when the backrest snaps into place. (Figure 7)
Adjusting the seat heightRaise or lower the seat as necessary to a height that allows the user to have their heels on the floor while sitting in the chair with thighs against the seat.
Stability check:Before each use, check to ensure all clips and pins are secure and all four feet are in contact with the floor. Be careful not to trap your hands. Check to make sure that two pins are sticking out from each leg to ensure the legs are locked properly.
To fold your chair
- Grasp the top of the backrest with one hand and the seat with the other.
- Push the backrest toward the seat until the backrest releases from the clips and rests against the seat.
- Push the legs inward until they release from the clips.
- Slide the legs away from each other and rotate the feet as needed to fold down.
Maintaining your chair
Wipe your chair with a soft, dry cloth after each use. Clean it regularly with warm water and a gentle soap. Do not use harsh cleaning agents that could damage the components. Inspect screws regularly to make sure they are tight. If you notice any loosening, please contact our customer service department at 1-800-256-3907 or for instructions.
Warranty
The Bue shower chair has a 2-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. If the shower chair is proven to be defective during the warranty period, it will be replaced or repaired at Bue’s discretion. This warranty does not extend to damage caused by improper use or normal wear and tear. INSTALLATION
Place the chair on a flat surface so that the folded legs face up and the front of the chair faces you.
- Open the right side feet as shown, followed by the left feet. If the feet collide with the other legs, rotate the feet outward so they can pass, then finish raising the legs. (See Adjusting the feet.)
- Slide and adjust the left side feet until they align with the black clips on the seat as shown. Make sure it is in place by pressing the legs into the clips. *You will hear and feel a click when they snap into place.
- Slide the near set of legs away from you until they align with the black clips on the seat as shown. Make sure it clips into place and is stable. *You will hear and feel a click when they snap into place.
- The non-slip feet of the Bue shower chair rotate and can be set at four different angles: front, back, inward, and outward. For maximum stability, position the front feet facing outward and the back feet facing back. Adjust the feet as needed. To raise the seat, for each leg: Depress the locking pins on the leg with one hand. With the other hand, pull down to lengthen the leg to the desired length. Align the pins with the nearest holes until they snap into place.
- Lift and stand the chair upright on all four legs. Open the backer and clip the pole on the feet as shown. Make sure it clips into place and is stable.
