We cut the weight by adding a magnesium chassis and enhanced comfort with soft-touch grip accents on the rubber-armored housing. With a class-leading field of view and extra-long eye relief, the latest chapter of the Legend covers more countries with less effort than ever before. This manual will help you optimize your viewing experience by explaining how you can adjust the monocular to your eye, and how to care for this instrument. Read the instructions carefully before using your monoculars.

ED Prime Extra-Low Dispersion fluorite glass delivers amazing color resolution and contrast, and virtually eliminates chromatic aberration and color-fringing to bring out the most distinct details possible in low-light conditions.

PC-3 PHASE COATING A chemical coating is applied to the prism to enhance resolution and contrast for the brightest and clearest image possible.

ULTRA-WIDEBAND COATING Using 60 layers of coating on each prism, this revolutionary system harnesses and optimizes available light, boosting Legend® Ultra HD monocular to the best-in-class brightness. This coating is exclusive to Bushnell®, and hands-down the more efficient means for transporting light through an optical system.

RAINGUARD® HD This patented*, permanent, water-repellent coating causes moisture from rain, snow, sleet, or condensation to bead up and scatter less light, so you get a clear, bright view when other optics would be rendered useless.* THE U.S. Patents # 6,906,862 , 6,816,310 and 6,542,302

EYECUP ADJUSTMENT: (Fig. 1 and 2)Your Bushnell® Legend® Ultra HD monocular is fitted with a twist-up eyecup designed for your comfort and to exclude extraneous light. For users without eyeglasses, twist the eyecup up, rotating the eyecup counter-clockwise until it locks into the fully “up” position (Fig. 1). If you wear glasses, make sure the eyecup is in the down position- this will bring your eyes closer to the ocular lens, allowing you to see the full field of view. To lower the eyecup from the full “up” position, rotate it clockwise (Fig. 2). The eyecup may also be left at positions “in-between” fully up and fully down, which may suit some individuals better.NeVeR LOOK diReCTLY AT THe SUN WHiLe USiNG YOUR MONOCULAR AS THiS MAY CAUSe SeRiOUS dAMAGe TO YOUR eYeS

FOCUSiNG EYE ADJUSTMENTSUsing the focus knob, focus on a distant object with fine detail (e.g., brick wall, tree branches, etc) until it appears as sharp as possible. Your monocular should now be adjusted for your eye. Focusing for any distance can now be done simply by turning the center focus knob.

PICATINNY RAIL & CARRY CLIPPicatinny rail allows mounting a variety of lights and tactical sights.

WATERPROOF/FOGPROOFYour Bushnell® egend® Ultra HD monocular has been designed and built utilizing the latest waterproof and fog proof technology. The monocular is O-ring sealed for complete moisture protection. Fogproof protection is achieved from dry nitrogen purging that removes all internal moisture.

MIL HASH RETICLE (Model 191144)The Tactical version of the Legend Ultra HD monocular contains a mil-hash reticle, the most accurate means of range estimation using a manual optical device. These hash marks allow precise leads for moving targets and exact compensation for shooting in a crosswind. Please refer to the Appendix on pg. 32 for more details regarding this reticle.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR CAREYour Bushnell® Legend® Ultra HD monocular will provide years of trouble-free service if it receives the normal care you would give any fine optical instrument.

  1.  Avoid sharp impacts. Set the monocular down gently on hard surfaces.
  2. Tug on the strap after attaching it to make sure it is securely fastened to the monocular before placing it around your neck.
  3.  Store your monocular in a cool, dry place whenever possible.

  1. Blow away any dust or debris on the lens (or use a soft lens brush).
  2. To remove dirt or fingerprints, clean with the supplied microfiber cloth rubbing in a circular motion. Use of coarse cloth or unnecessary rubbing may scratch the lens surface and eventually cause permanent damage. The included, washable“microfiber” cleaning cloth is ideal for the routine cleaning of your optics.Simply breathe lightly on the lens to provide a slight amount of moisture, and then gently rub the lens with the microfiber cloth.
  3. For a more thorough cleaning, photographic lens tissue and photographic-type lens cleaning fluid or isopropyl alcohol may be used. Always apply the fluid to the cleaning cloth – never directly on the lens.
