CameraBecause this system can be used for many purposes, not all instructions may be applicable to the installation in your situation. Try to follow the guidelines as good as possible. If you can’t figure it out, we advise you to contact an installation expert.
Placement:On the back of the camera there is a bracket that is equipped with professional double-sided tape for secure mounting.
Please note or whether the surface is suitable and if you won’t damage anything behind or inside while using screws.
The camera is tilt able so the angle be adjusted manually in a vertical direction. Make sure its field of view and direction are not obstructed.
Powering the cameraMake sure the power connection is inside the vehicle, in a dry and safe location. Often it is possible to get the wire inside the vehicle using an existing passageway, for example; near the number plate lights or the trailer hitch wiring harness.
If there is no existing passageway available, you must drill a hole. Make sure you can’t damage anything behind or inside the location you want the drill the hole. Using a drilled hole, always use the provided grommet to prevent any sharp edged cutting into the camera cable.
The camera should only be powered if its in use, a common connection is via the reversing light of the vehicle. This situation will be explained below. But of course it is also possible to make a connection via the key or a separate switch.
- Connect the red wire of the camera to the +12V/+24Vwire of the vehicles reverse light, using the provided in-line wire connectors.
- Connect the black wire of the camera to the ground cable the vehicles reverse light, using the provided in-line wire connectors or to a a safe alternative ground point.
There is no need to make a wired connection between the camera and the monitor. This will be a wireless video signal with a range up to 50m. If the monitor does not find the camera, see the “Setup (pair) menu” under operation.
ExtraThe monitor can be connected with max. two cameras. An extra camera is sold separately (CAM401E). For the installation of the extra camera, please use the same guide steps as for the first camera.
