Dear Customer,Congratulations on your purchase of this Casio Digital Quartz Timepiece. Although highly sophisticated, this timepiece is delightfully simple to use, and by referring to this  guide you will enjoy all the features of this reliable ultra-precise timepiece.

Notice: As this timepiece contains precise electronic components, it is suggested 1 that the back cover be removed by authorized personnel.

Setting home time

  1. Set the sliding selector to “HOME”.
  2. By pressing the H and M buttons, set the correct hour and minute digits. Keep pressing for a quick advance. Each press of the M button resets the second digits to zero.
  3. Each press of the alarm time recall button alternates the time display between the 12-hour and the 24-hour format.
  4. Move the slide selector to “OFF” or “SNZ”.

Setting local time

  1. Set the sliding selector to “WORLD”.
  2. Turn the dial knob to your home time zone.
  3. Press the H and M buttons to set the correct hour and minute digits. The second digits are synchronized with home timekeeping.
  4. Move the sliding selector to “OFF” or “SNZ”.

Setting alarm time

When the time on the upper display coincides with the preset alarm time, the buzzer sounds 4 times for one minute at intervals of 5 minutes at and after the preset time every day, and sounds for 5 minutes until the slide selector is moved to the “OFF” position.

  1. Set the sliding selector to “ALARM”. (The alarm time display starts flashing.)
  2. Press the H and IM buttons to set the correct hour and minute digits.
  3. Move the sliding selector to “SNZ”.

Battery replacement

When battery power decreases the whole display darkens. Batter, should then he renewed.

  1. Open the back panel of the unit by loosening the screws with a screwdriver. Slide open the battery cover.
  2. Remove the dead battery.
  3. Insert the new battery with polarities as indicated.
  4. Replace the battery cover and the back panel. Screw carefully.• Never leave a dead battery in the battery compartment to prevent the chance of malfunctions due to battery leakage.

CAUTIONBe sure to insert the battery with correct polarities (+, —) to prevent the possibility of batten. burst.

Care of your unit

  • Since the unit contains precision electronic components, never attempt to disassemble it.
  • Be careful not to drop the unit or handle it roughly.
  • Avoid operating the buttons and selectors roughly.
  • Avoid using the unit in extreme temperatures (below 32°F or 0°C, or above 104°F or 40°C). Also, protect the unit from extremely dusty or humid conditions.
  • Never use volatile fluids such as lacquer thinner, benzine, etc. when cleaning the unit.
