SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance is intended for household use. Use on Alternating Current (60 hertz) only. This unit is designed to be operated at 120 volts AC.This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety feature, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.
GETTING STARTED
Hair should be clean and completely dry before using the curling wand. Plug the wand into an electrical outlet. Turn on the unit. The power indicator light will become illuminated. Allow unit to heat up for 30 seconds.WARNING: The curling wand’s barrel will get very hot within a few seconds and should not be placed in contact with the skin after the curling wand has been turned on.
The appliance’s 30 temperature settings and instant heat technology combine to provide styling versatility for all hair textures. If you have fine hair, a low temperature will provide the best results. If you have thick, wavy or coarse hair, keep the heat setting high. You can vary the appliance’s temperature according to your particular need!
To activate Turbo Heat®, press the Turbo ON/OFF button and the green light will go on and increase curling wand temperatures up to 20°C/36°F. To turn it off, press the power ON/OFF button again until the red light goes out. Never leave your appliance on and unattended. However, should you fail to turn the unit off, it will shut itself off automatically within 60 minutes.
TO CURL HAIR
For best results, use a light styling product before blow-drying hair.
- Take a ½ to 1-in. wide section of hair, starting 2 in. from the scalp.
- Wind the section of hair around the thicker portion of the barrel toward the cool tip.
- Hold the end of the hair in place at the cool tip for 5 to 10 seconds depending on hair type, and then release. No clamp allows you to instantly and easily curl hair. For tighter, bouncier curls, roll less hair. For loose, free-flowing curls, roll more hair. To set the curl, do not comb or brush hair until it cools.
- Repeat the process on additional sections of hair until you achieve the hairstyle you desire. Some experience is necessary when learning to use this curling wand. After using it several times, you will learn the ideal way to curl and style your hair.
CUSTOMIZE YOUR CURLS
Tight Curls – Wrap small sections of hair tightly and hold for a few seconds.Loose Curls – Wrap wider sections of hair.
