Eliminator Tail Light Instructions for pre-99 models

CV4824/CV4824B/CV4825/CV4825B

Fits: 90-95 FLSTF, 96-99 FLSTF

WARNING; Fender Modifications are necessary to install this product.

Installation

1. Before installation remove seat.
2. Remove tail light, turn signals and associated wiring.
3. On pre-99 rear fenders, the “Hump” under the tail light (See Fig 1) needs to be cut out with saw or cut-off wheel. (see fig 2 & 3).
4. Center Eliminator back plate on the fender and drill ¼” holes for mounting bolts. See Fig 4.
5. Mount the eliminator Back plate using the ¼” FH Screws and Nylocs.

96-99 models:

1. Connect bike rear light wire harness to “Y” Pig tail with load equalizer
2. Connect 25 “wire harness to the “Y” Pig tail and the other in to the Eliminator face plate.
3. Secure harness under fender
4. Install Face plate per Eliminator Instructions included in this kit.

PRE-96 Models

1. Locate bike rear light and turn signal wire harness.
2. Cut rear tail light and turn signal wires approximately 3 inches from plug.
3. The 8 pin connector pigtail MUST be spiced or “Hard-wired” in to the Main Bike rear light wire harness.

NOTE: a test light must be used to determine what wire corresponds with the Cycle Visions Color Code as below.

1. Connect 8 Pin Connector wire harness to “Y” Pig tail with load equalizer
2. Connect one end of the 25” wire harness to the “Y” Pig tail and the other in to the Eliminator face plate.
3. Secure harness under fender
4. Install Face plate per Eliminator Instructions included in this kit.

NOTE: Some License Plates will need to be trimmed to fit.

DO NOT INSTALL THIS UNIT WITHOUT APPLYING LOCKTITE TO EVERY SCREW, NUT OR BOLT!

Our Warranty Policy

Cycle Visions’ obligation under “Our Warranty Policy” is limited to one (1) year from date of purchase to repair or replacement of the defective item (s).  Chrome, polished, powder-coated, anodized finishes, or electrical parts are limited to thirty (30) day from date of purchase.

This warranty will be void on all products that show evidence of misapplication, improper installation, abuse, lack of proper maintenance, negligence, or alteration from their original design.

The consumer will be responsible for removing from the vehicle any defective item(s), transportation costs prepaid and for reinstallation upon return by Cycle Visions.  The loss of use of the product, loss of time, inconvenience, commercial loss or consequential damages is not covered.  Cycle Visions reserves the right to change the design of any product without assuming any obligation to modify any product previously manufactured.  Warranty returns of Cycle Visions products are few because of our high quality products.

Carefully inspect all parts…. If you find that your parts arrived in damaged conditional all original packaging material (box and other materials) must be saved to make a proper damage claim within seven (7) days.  You must be able to present the damaged boxes and materials to the freight carrier to verify your claim.  The user shall assume all legal, personal, injury risk and liability and all other obligations, duties and risks associated therewith.
