1. Introduction

The DIGITUS® Conference Room Speaker System is designed for stationary and mobile applications. Transform the room of your choice into a conference room. The four integrated speakers ensure an optimal distribution in the room to guarantee clear voice quality for all participants. The speaker can either be connected wirelessly with a smartphone or notebook via Bluetooth or directly via a USB cable connection. The system is compatible with all conventional communication platforms (UC), the main functions can also be controlled directly on the device using the multi-function buttons. The functions include: On/off, accept call, hang up, reject, mute, fast forward, rewind, adjust volume and more. Using the TWS function, two conference speakers can optionally be combined with stereo speakers. With a battery life of up to 10 hours, you can also handle longer calls or conferences.

6. Charging

We recommend that you fully charge the DA-12221 before using it for the first time to maximize battery life. It takes about 2-3 hours to fully charge. An acoustic signal will indicate a low battery. To charge the speaker battery, it is recommended DC 5V/1A or higher current charger for charging. The Charging progress is signaled by a flashing LED below the [] button; when the battery is fully charged, the LED will stay lit. During charging, the speaker can be used for calls and music playback.

 

7. Power ON/OFF

To turn the speaker on or off, press and hold the [] button for 2 seconds. Note: To save the power, the speaker turns off after 20 minutes of inactivity.

 

8. Connecting to Bluetooth

  1. Connect DA-12221 with Bluetooth-enabled devices: After power on, the [] button flashes. Turn on the Bluetooth function of the mobile phone and select DA-12221 in the list of available devices After selecting the device, it will automatically connect. The [] button stops flashing after connected, then you can play music or make a hands-free call.
  2. For the device without Bluetooth function: After power on, the [] button flashes. Plug Wireless USB Receiver into the device which in the package. The device will connect DA-12221 automatically.
  3. To disconnect the Bluetooth device, hold down the [] button for 4 seconds.Note: DA-12221 can connect up to two Bluetooth devices.

 

9. Disconnect the Bluetooth

  1. Open your mobile phone and click DA-12221 in the connected device to disconnect.
  2. Hold down the [] button for 2 seconds to disconnect the Bluetooth, the [] button will flash white.

 

10. AUX Mode

Insert the 3.5mm audio cable in package into the audio jack, plug another head into your device, use the device to which you have connected the speaker to control the music being played. To control the volume of the speaker, you can press 【+】【-】button increase and decrease the volume.

Note: AUX mode cannot be used for hands-free calls.

 

11. True Wireless Connection

Two identical DA-12221 speaker can be connected to each other via the TWS function, you can connect them together and enjoy true wireless stereo.

  1. Disconnect the Bluetooth connection on the mobile phone or device, and make sure that the speaker is not connected to any device (also remove the audio cable on the AUX IN jack).
  2. Choose one of them as the master (another one as the slave) First, press the [] button of the master, and then the two speakers will automatically connect to each other after 5 seconds. The [] button on the Slave speaker display blue light, indicating that the two speakers are successfully connected. The master unit [] button still flashes, waiting for the Bluetooth device to connect.
  3. Turn on Bluetooth on the phone or device. And start searching for Bluetooth devices, find “DA-12221” connect it. If you want to connect a PC or other devices through a 3.5mm audio cable or USB cable, please plug into the master.
  4. After connected to TWS, it will automatically connect when turned on next time, otherwise you can clear the TWS connection by pressing the [] button.

 

12. Hands free

After the Bluetooth connection is successful, you can use the DA-12221 to make a hand-free call at any time. When there is an incoming call, you can click [] button answer the call, and press [] button 2 seconds to reject the call. Double press [] dial back the last call. If you don’t want the opposite side to hear your voice during a call, you can click [] button to turn off the microphone or click [] button again to turn on the microphone.

Note: The effective range of the microphones for calls is 5 meters.

 

13. Connecting to a PC using USB

Connect USB cable to your PC and DA-12221, the loudspeaker will entering USB mode. Open the media player in PC, you can enjoy your favorite music.

Note: some kinds of media player will not choose DA-12221 USB mode playing automatically, you can choose “DA-12221 USB Audio” in your player then playing the music.

Hands-free call: In USB mode, your DA-12221 can also make hands-free calls. Open your social APP and select your friends to make hands-free calls. Due to the different social APPs have different operation mode, the [] key of DA-12221 may be invalid. You’ll need to manually operate on the APP to answer or end the call. If you don’t want the other party to hear you during a call, you can click the [] key to turn off the microphone or click again to turn on the microphone.

Note: The effective range of the microphones for calls is 5 meters.

 

14. Multi-session

After connecting the DA-12221 with a mobile phone or computer (using Bluetooth or USB data cable connection), it is recommended to place the DA-12221 in the center so that everyone can hear clear.

  1. The mode 1 for conference: The Bluetooth of mobile phone connecting with speaker.  
  2. The mode 2 for conference: The Bluetooth of laptop or computer connecting with speaker (by Bluetooth adapter).                                                      
  3. The mode 3 for conference: Connect speaker with laptop or PC by USB data cable.

 

15. Troubleshooting

Q: My speaker will not switch on.A: Please recharge it and make sure it has enough power. Plug the unit into a charger and see if the power LED indicator turn on.

Q: Why can’t I pair this speaker with other Bluetooth devices?                                             A: Please check the following:Your Bluetooth device supports the A2DP profile.The speaker and your device are next to each other (within 10m).The speaker have connected one Bluetooth devices, if yes, you can press the button [] cleared and pairing new device.
