BEFORE USING THE DEVICE, PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS COMPLETELY AND CAREFULLY. CORRECT APPLICATION IS VITAL TO THE PROPER FUNCTIONING OF THE DEVICE.

INTENDED USER PROFILE

The intended user should be a licensed medical professional, the patient, the patient’s caretaker, or a family member providing assistance. The user should be able to read, understand and be physically capable to perform all the directions, warnings and cautions provided in the information for use.

INTENDED USE/INDICATIONS

The DonJoy Reaction Knee Brace is designed to support the knee and may be suitable for those suffering from patellofemoral pain syndrome. Soft-good/semi-rigid designed to restrict motion through elastic or semi rigid construction.

WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS

  • If you experience any pain, swelling, sensation changes, or any unusual reactions while using this product, consult your medical professional immediately.
  • Do not use over open wounds.
  • Do not use this device if it was damaged and/or package has been opened.
  • If you develop an allergic reaction and/or experience itchy, red skin after coming into contact with any part of this device, please stop using it and contact your healthcare professional immediately.

NOTE: Contact manufacturer and competent authority in case of a serious incident arising due to usage of this device.

APPLICATION INFORMATION

1. Pull on sleeve until comfortable and patella is centered in the hour glass shaped opening. Wearing sleeve is optional. (Fig. 1)

2a. Lay web over top of knee joint, centering web by aligning opening with patella. (Fig. 2a & 2b)

3. Thread tabs on one side of back pad through inside openings on web and affix hook portions to loop face of back pad. Note: Spacer material side of back pad should be placed toward leg and loop side away from leg. Outside of web has the logo, inside of web is dimpled. (Fig. 3)

4. Thread loose tabs of back pad through available openings on web and then affix hook tabs to loop surface on back pad. (Fig. 4)

5a. Once all tabs are affixed to assure proper tightness, lift and pull both of lower tabs until snug. (Fig. 5a)

5b. Repeat for top pair of tabs -brace should be snug and comfortable, do not over tighten. (Fig. 5b)

CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS

Both the plastic parts and pads can be hand wash with mild soap in lukewarm water. Rinse both thoroughly. AIR DRY separately.
