BEFORE USING THE DEVICE, PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS COMPLETELY AND CAREFULLY. CORRECT APPLICATION IS VITAL TO THE PROPER FUNCTIONING OF THE DEVICE.

INTENDED USER PROFILE

The intended user should be a licensed medical professional, the patient, the patient’s caretaker, or a family member providing assistance. The user should be able to: Read, understand and be physically capable to perform all the  directions, warnings and cautions provided in the information for use.

INDICATIONS

The Procare Surround Ankle Stirrup is designed to provide support and immobilization to the ankle. It may be suitable for ankle sprains, osteoarthritis and ankle instabilities. Providing immobilization or controlled movement of the limb or body segment.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

  • None.

WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS

  • This product is to be used under the supervision of a medical professional.
  • This device is not intended for unsupervised public use.
  • If you develop an allergic reaction and/or experience itchy, red skin after coming into contact with any part of this device, please stop using it and contact your healthcare professional immediately.
  • If pain, swelling, changes in sensation or other unusual reactions occur while using this product, you should contact your doctor immediately.
  • Do not use over open wounds.
  • Do not use the device if it is damaged and/or the packaging has been opened.

NOTE: Contact manufacturer and competent authority in case of a serious incident arising due to usage of this device.

APPLICATION INFORMATION

For maximum support, wear an absorbent sock and a laced athletic shoe when wearing the brace.

  1. Adjustment heel pad:Center Volara Foam heel pad evenly under heel. (Fig. 1)
  2. Positioning shells on either side of ankle, align with midline of leg andsecure lower strap first for alignment. (Fig. 2)
  3. Apply pressure to the sides of the Therapeutic Gel Bag to allow even flowof pressure within the plastic shell.
  4. Wrap the upper strap around calf and secure. Adjust both straps forpatient comfort. Be certain the side shells are centered along the ankleand leg. (Fig. 3) Straps may be trimmed if necessary.
  5. If necessary, adjust the heel pad with the vertical side straps while thebrace is on. Using both hands, pinch bottom of shells, and pull strap sup ward until desired fit is obtained. (Fig. 4) Straps may be trimmed if necessary.
  6. Removal of brace:Remove upper and lower hook and loop straps. Slide heel portion to rear of ankle and release side shells. (Fig. 5)

USE AND CARE

  • DO NOT HEAT therapeutic bag. DO NOT MICROWAVE therapeutic bag.
  • Liner may be hand washed in cold water with mild soap. Air dry. Outer shell may be wiped down with a damp cloth.

WARRANTY

DJO, LLC will repair or replace all or part of the unit and its accessories for material or workmanship defects for a period of six months from the date of sale.
