BEFORE USING THE DEVICE, PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE COMPLETELY AND CAREFULLY. CORRECT APPLICATION IS VITAL TO THE PROPER FUNCTIONING OF THE DEVICE.

What is DVT?

When blood forms a blockage or a clot inside your veins, it is called Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT). DVT usually forms in the lower leg or thigh. A DVT could break off from the wall of the vein, travel up in the body and get stuck in the lungs. This type of clot, called a Pulmonary Embolism (PE), can be fatal. With so many clot-related deaths every year, it is important to learn how to prevent DVT so that every preventative measure possible is taken.

Why Use VenaPro® ?Thromboembolic risk can extend to 30 plus days post-discharge.

PURPOSE OF THIS DEVICE:

The purpose of the VenaPro® is to aid in the prevention of Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) by aiding in the stimulation of blood flow in the legs. This is accomplished by an electronically controlled pump delivering a set amount of air to the leg cuffs that , in turn, compress the calf or calves to aid in blood flow out of the extremities. The pumpwill inflate each leg cuff to a preset measure of 50mmhg and deflate once the pressure is reached. The cycles are repeated on each unit until the power is turned off. Internal rechargeable batteries allow the VenaPro® to be completely portable, thus helping to prevent interruption in treatment.
