Main Features:

  • 7 levels of stimulation
  • 5 sensitivity settings for different dog’s temperament
  • Small and lightweight collar
  • Water resistant collar, operated by 6V alkaline battery
  • LED indicator for battery and operation

ON-OFF & Intensity Dial

The ON-OFF & Intensity Dial on the collar is used to turn the DMT Advance Bark Collar on and off to select the intensity level.

Set the ON-OFF & Intensity Dial to the “OFF” position to turn off the DMT Advance Bark Collar.

Level 1 is the lowest level of stimulation and Level 7 is the highest.

The DMT Advance bark collar has a built in safety feature which will automatically shut off for 1 minute if it is activated 5 times or more. The LED light will flash Red and Green during this period of time. Then the light will be off to indicate it is back to sleep mode.

Sensitivity Dial

The sensitivity dial is used to adjust the sensitivity level of the vibration sensor. Level 5 is the highest sensitive level and level 1 is the lowest. This means the collar is easy to activate in level 5 and then less chance to activate at level 1.

Installing the Battery

  1. Use a 10 cent coin to open the battery screw cap.
  2. Insert the 6V alkaline battery into the battery tray with the negative (-) facing inside (SEE DIAGRAM)
  3. Use the 10 cent coin to screw the battery cap back onto the collar

Please note: If the LED indicator flashes Red when the collar is turned on, it means the battery needs to be replaced.

Testing

  1. Turn the “Intensity” level to 1 and the “Sensitivity Dial” to level 5
  2. Test by scratching the rough surface of the test tool on the collar (as shown in the diagram) using a coin or a pen. The LED light should flash Green to indicate the collar is working.

Fitting the Collar

The collar strap should be adjusted so that the contact points are held firmly against the dog’s skin. Fasten the collar enough to allow one or two fingers to fit between the collar strap and your dog’s neck.

If the collar is too loose, it will be ineffective because there is no contact between the dogs’ skin and the contact points. Collar should not be used for more than 10 hours per day. If a rash develops, discontinue use.

Regular Maintenance

  • Check Contact Points for tightness weekly, do not over tighten.
  • Clean Contact Points with alcohol/metho weekly
  • Replace Battery when it is required (Note: make sure the collar is turned off for checking and cleaning.)
  • Check your dog’s neck for irritation and wash neck weekly.
