The minibar is designed for freestanding installation, but can be built-in if the following conditions are complied with to ensure satisfactory operation and maximum cooling efficiency.

  • The minibar must be levelled carefully to ensure proper function.
  • The clearance between the minibar`s back and the wall should be 20 mm or more.

  • The ventilation duct must at least measure 105 mm x the width of the minibar.
  • Only the entire cooling unit must project into the ventilation duct as shown (fig. 2, page 3).
  • Air passing through the ventilation duct must not be preheated by any source of heat.
  • Ventilation grills, if used, must have openings of at least 200 cm² each.
  • For glass door version, when ambient humidity is above 65 % in 25 °C ambient temperature, moisture will condense on the door.
  • The minibar can be fixed to the bottom of the furniture through its fixing feet using screws of an appropriate length (fig. 3, page 3).

Before first use

Before first use, clean the minibar inside and outside with a damp cloth for hygienic reasons (see also chapter “Cleaning and maintenance” on page 19).

Saving energy
  • Only open the minibar as often and for as long as necessary.
  • Allow warm food to cool down first before placing it in the device to keep cool.
  • Avoid unnecessarily low temperature settings.
  • For optimal energy consumption, position the shelves and drawers according to their position on delivery.
  • On a regularly basis, make sure the door seal still fits properly.
  • Clean dust and dirt from the condenser at regular intervals.
Switching on

NOTICE! Risk of damage

  • Ensure that the objects placed in the minibar are suitable for cooling to the selected temperature.
  • Ensure that food or liquids in glass containers are not excessively refrigerated. Liquids expand when they freeze and can therefore destroy the glass containers.
  • Ensure that your minibar is well ventilated so that any heat created can dissipate. Otherwise proper functioning cannot be ensured. It is especially important not to cover the air vents.

NOTE

  • A few water drops may form inside the minibar if it has been cooling for a lengthy period. This is normal because the moisture in the air condenses to water when the temperature in the minibar falls. The minibar is not defective. Wipe it out with a dry cloth if necessary.
  • If you are not going to use the minibar for a long time, leave the door slightly ajar to prevent unpleasant odours building up.

1. Place the minibar on a firm base.2. Connect the connection cable to the AC mains supply.✔ The minibar starts cooling the interior.

Setting the temperature

To avoid food waste, note the following:

  • Keep temperature fluctuation as low as possible. Only open the minibar as often and for as long as necessary. Store the foodstuff in such a way that the air can still circulate well.
  • The minibar is equipped with an automatic temperature regulation function. Select the average of the possible temperature values.
  • Adjust the temperature to the quantity and type of the foodstuff.

➤ Set the temperature controller (fig. 1 1, page 3) to the desired temperature (3 °C 12 °C).

Switching off

➤ If you wish to switch the minibar off there are two options:

  • Pull out the connection cable or rotate the temperature controller (fig. 1 1, page 3) anti-clockwise to the OFF position.

Cleaning and maintenance

WARNING!Electrocution hazard Always disconnect the minibar from the mains before you clean and service it.

➤ Clean the minibar regularly and as soon as it becomes dirty with a damp cloth.➤ Make sure that no water drips into the seals. This can damage the electronics.➤ Wipe the minibar dry with a cloth after cleaning.➤ Check the condensate drain regularly. Clean the condensate drain when necessary.
