QUICK START GUIDE

Step 1 Unpack the device and accessories. Review all Warnings, Cautions and additional device information in the manual to become familiar.

Step 2 Fill the bottle with distilled water to specified level. Fix up bottle in the designated place with giver support.

Step 3 Connect the threaded end of the humidifier tube to the bottle. Connect oxygen tubing and a nasal cannula to the outlet barb on the Khumidifier bottle.

Step 4 Plug the power cord into outlet. After the concentrator completes the warm-up cycle, it will start running normal (only the green light will `remain on).

Step 5 Adjust flow to a prescribed level and start breathing normally through the nasal cannula.

INTENDED USE

The Dr Trust Respiright 5L Oxygen Concentrator -1102 intended use is to provide supplemental low flow oxygen therapy for patients suffering from COPD, cardiovascular disease, and lung disorders. The oxygen concentrator is designed to be used in home type environment, homes, nursing homes, patient care facilities, etc. It supplies a high concentration of oxygen and is used with a nasal cannula to channel oxygen from the concentrator to the patient.

Warnings, Cautions and Additional Device Information

  • This device is NOT INTENDED to be life sustaining or life supporting.
  • Under certain circumstances, the use of non-prescribed oxygen therapy can be hazardous. This device should be used only when prescribed by a physician.
  • Do not obstruct air intake or exhaust when operating the device. Blockage of air circulation or proximity to a heat source may lead to internal heat buildup and shutdown or damage to the concentrator.

  • Do not modify the oxygen Concentrator. Any modification performed on the equipment may impair performance or damage equipment and will void your warranty.
  • Ensure the power supply is in a well-ventilated location as it relies on air circulation for heat dissipation. The power supply may become hot during operation. Make sure the power supply cools down before handling.
  • Do not disassemble the power supply. This may lead to component failure and/or safety risk.
  • Do not place anything in the power supply port other than the supplied wall cord.
  • Avoid the use of electrical extension cords with the oxygen concentrator.
  • To ensure oxygen flow, ensure that the nasal cannula is properly connected to the nozzle fitting and that the tubing is not kinked or pinched in any way.
  • The device produces enriched oxygen gas, which accelerates combustion.
  • Do not allow smoking or open flames within 10 feet of this device while in use.
  • Avoid use of it in presence of pollutants, smoke or fumes.
  • Do not use in presence of flammable anesthetics, cleaning agents or other chemical vapors.
  • Do not submerse the concentrator and any of the accessories in liquid. This could lead to electrical shock and/or damage.
  • Never keep in an environment which can reach high temperatures. This could damage the device.
  • Do not use power supplies, power cables or accessories other than those specified in this user manual.
  • Always keep it away from children and pets for safe operation.
  • If you begin to feel ill or are experiencing discomfort while using this device, consult your physician immediately.
  • If there is a foreign body fall into the machine, please turn it off immediately, unplug the power plug, and ask the professional staff to check.
  • The machine set has overheating protection device, when the machine is overheating, it will stop working by automatically.
  • Do not use it in humid environment.
  • It should not be moved while in operation.
  • Do not block the vent. Blocking the vent increases risk of fire.
  • No dangerous garbage raised; accessories can be scrapped directly.

Medical oxygen concentrator works:

Dr Trust Oxygen Concentrator (5L) uses Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) technology to supply a high concentration of oxygen continuously. In simple words, it works on electricity; takes in room air, removes Nitrogen from it and deliver pure Oxygen.

SAFE OPERATION

Operating Instructions:

  1. Please place the oxygen concentrator in a well-ventilated location.
  2. Please keep it at least15 inches awayfrom walls, curtains and other solid surfaces so that the concentrator can draw in room airwithout being restricted by anything.
  3. Plug in to the right power source.
  4. Compressor equipped with a thermal protection device, when it is overheated, the machine will be automatically stop working.
  5. Do not stack objects on top of the device.
  6. Do not use parts, accessories, or equipment not approved by Dr Trust.
  7. Avoid creating sparks near medical oxygen equipment, including static sparks generated by friction.

Preparation Before Operation

  1. Check the airfilter before using the machine. It should be clean.
  2. Install the right accessories at the right places on the oxygen concentrator.
  3. If using a humidifier bottle, fill it with distilled water to the specified level. Make sure that it is installed correctly in designated place with given support. Connect the one end of the humidifier tube to the bottle, and the other to oxygen concentrator. Connect oxygen tubing and/or a nasal cannula to the outlet barb on the humidifier bottle.

Important Note:

  • Make sure the power switch is turned off when you insert the power cord into the wall power outlet.
  • Inappropriate use of the power cord and plug may cause burns, fire, shock, or another hazard.

Instructions for use

  1. Plug into the power source and press the switch to the ON position.
  2. Turn on the machine, the power indicator light will become green when the machine starts. The machine will start normal functioning within 10 seconds.
  3. Use the Flow Control Knob to adjust the flow level as prescribed by your physician.
  4. There are two buttons with the display for timing adjustment. Each press of the ( A ) button will increase timing by 30 min. The maximum timing is 90 minutes. Each press of the (v) will decrease timing by 30 min. The minimum timing is “0” and the oxygen concentrator will turn OFF automatically.

WARNING:

IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO SELECT ONLY THE PRESCRIBED LEVEL OF OXYGEN AND TIMING. DO NOT CHANGE THE LEVEL OF FLOW UNLESS YOU HAVE BEEN DIRECTED TO DO SO BY A LICENSED CLINICIAN.

PRODUCT CARE AND MAINTENANCE

Cleaning

Disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet before you start cleaning the machine.

Cleaning the Whole Body

In the condition of power off, make a clean for the outside body by soft towel with little mild household cleaner, and then wipe it up with dry towel.

Cleaning the Humidifier Bottle

Please clean the bottle everyday before start using.

  1. Empty the water from the humidifier.
  2. Rinse it under running water. Fill humidifier up to the mark with distilled water.
  3. Must disinfect the humidifier’s parts by immersing them in a disinfectant solution (regularly), rinse and dry.
  4. Keep checking that the humidifier lid seal is in good condition.

Tips

  1. Use detergent and hot water to clean.
  2. Please use a cup of white vinegar and thr ee cups of hot water soaking the separated humidifying bottles.
  3. Using the tap-water for cleaning fully.

AttentionIf the humidifying bottle not fitting to the port ,it may cause oxygen pipe condensing fog.

Shell

  • Do not use any oily solvent or detergent to clean the shell.
  • Use the household tenderness detergent and wet cloth or sponge to clean and then dry.

Filter

  • Clean the Air filter line once a week to make sure the machine continuous work.
  • Turn off before with drawing the air filter from oxygen machine’s back.

Attention

  • Do not operate the concentrator without the filter, or while filter is wet. These factors could permanently damage the concentrator.
  • Do not replace the air filter when machine is under working.

MaintenanceOxygen tubing, mask, and other accessories According to the requirements of manufacturer, tubing, mask, and other accessories should be replaced regularly.

Intake FilterIt is recommended when Oxygen Concentrators run every 800 hours , the intake filter should be checked. If the intake filter becomes all black, please replace it in time.

• •Bacterial filter The bacterial filter in oxygen concentrator can filter 99.999% of bacteria, it is recommended that after the machine running for each 20,000 hours, let service provider replace it foryou.Routine Maintenance In order that you can make better use of oxygen concentrator, after per machine running over 2000 hours, you need to ask your service provider for routine maintenance.

WarningFilter must be dry before use in order to prevent the machine from damage. In the absence of intake filter or when the filter is not dry, please do not try to operate the machine.

  • Pregnant women and children should use under the professional guidance or medical staff.
  • Do not use while bathing.
  • Under different conditions of air pressure, the oxygen concentration has little change with flow.

TROUBLESHOOTING

The following “Troubleshooting Table” will help you to analyze and repair the machine. If the recommended steps do not help, please notify the manufacturer.

No operation after power switch is connected. The power light is OFF, the alarm will sound.

  1. No connection between circuit of oxygen concentrator and power.
  2. There is no power supply.
  1. Make sure the plug is firmly and correctly fitted to the wall socket (230V/50HZ).
  2. Make sure there is power. Try plug into another wall socket that is known to work.

No oxygen out or tiny outtake flow.

  1. Folded inside oxygen tube, no smooth outtake.
  2. Filter clogged, no smooth intake.
  1. Check the filter, if dirty, please change it.
  2. Check the outlet, make sure if blocked or not.

Experiencing Low or no Oxygen Flow.

  1. Flowmeter is not fine.
  2. The flow control setting has been changed.Tubing has been disconnected. There is a leak in your cannula or tubing.
  3. Filter could be dirty or Blocked.
  1. Make sure the flowmeter is adjusted correctly.
  2. Inspect all tubing and the cannula for leaks. You can do this by either listening or feeling for escaping air Replace leaky tubing or cannula.
  3. Check the filter to make sure , if blocked or not.
