Quick Reference Guide

This guide is intended to be used as a quick reference to the EasyTouch® HealthProTM User Manual. Please read the complete manual before using the EasyTouch® HealthProTM Glucose Monitoring System.

Battery Installation

Step 1: To begin, place the meter on a flat surface and take the back of the battery cover off the meter.

Step 2: Both batteries are to be inserted into the meter with the Positive (+) side of the battery facing upward, away from the prongs.Step 3: Replace the battery cover. The batteries will lock into place once the battery cover is slid back onto the meter.

Setting Up Your Meter

Step 1: Power On Press “ ” for at least 3 seconds.Step2: User Activity Option After pressing and releasing either “ ” or “ ” buttons to turn the User Activity Option on/off, confirm with “ ”. For more detail, see page 16 of User ManualStep 3: Year After pressing and releasing either “ ” or “ ” buttons to set the year, confirm with“ “.Step 4: Date/Time After pressing and releasing either “ ” or “ ” buttons to set the date and time, confirm each with “ ”.Step 5: Test Unit Your meter is pre-set to mg/dL as test units. Just confirm it with “ ”. The correct units of the measurement in the U.S. are mg/dL.Step 6: Temperature Unit Press and release either “ ” or “ ” buttons to set ˚C or ˚F, confirm with “ ”.Step 7: Days for Avg. After pressing and releasing either “ ” or “ ” buttons to set the number of days, confirm with “ ”.Step 8: Alarm On/Off After pressing and releasing either “ ” or “ ” buttons to turn the alarm on/off, confirm with “ ”.Step 9: Alarm Time After pressing and releasing either “ ” or “ ” buttons to set the alarm hour and minute, confirm with “ ”.Step 10: Alarm After programming the number of desired alarms (5 alarms possible), confirm with “

Performing a Test

Step 1: Insert a test strip firmly into the test port.The meter will automatically turn on and read the test strip code. A blinking test strip “ ” will appear when the meter is ready for testing. Step 2: Place the blood sample onto the end of the test strip. When the test strip has collected the blood sample (0.5µL), the meter will beep and automatically start counting down.Step 3: After 5 seconds, your blood glucose result will appear on the display and will automatically be stored into the meter’s memory. The meter will automatically turn off.

Reviewing Your Results

The EasyTouch® HealthPro™ Meter stores up to 365 test results in its built-in memory, along with the average sugar level for the number of days you preset the glucose test meter to calculate.Step 1: To retrieve your test results, press and release the “ ” button. The most recent results appear first. Press the “ ” and “ ” buttons to navigate through your previous test results.Step 2: To retrieve your test averaging, press and release the “ ” button when viewing your most recent test result.To switch between day-averaging presets, press the “ ” and “ ” buttons.

Display Messages

Meter may be defective. Reboot meter with new batteries.

Test strip may be contaminated or used. Retest with the new test strip.

Insuficient amount of sample blood placed on the test strip. Retest with a new test strip.

Inadequate sample of blood or control solution on a test strip. Retest with a new test strip.

Blood sample is placed on the test strip before the symbol for blood blinks.Color bars on the back of the strip are dirty, bad or there is too much light. Retest with the new test strip.Ambient temperature is less than 50˚F (10˚C). Wait 10 minutes and retest with a new test strip.Ambient temperature is over 104˚F (40˚C). Wait 10 minutes and retest with a new test strip.Test result is lower than 20mg/dl. Repeat test to ensure accurate results.Test result is higher than 600mg/dl. Repeat test to ensure accurate results.
