Installation

Please read the manual carefully before installation

  1. Mount the contact on the floor near the bottom of the door. Ensure that the contact switch is in a safe location away from equipment interference and near where the magnet will be when the door is closed.
  2. Run the armored cable to the side and connect its two wires to two wires from the alarm control panel
  3. Mount the magnet on the roll up door so that it will trigger the contact when the door is closed. Be sure that the gap between the contact and magnet does not exceed 23/4″ (70mm).

  2. On wood surfaces, the magnet must beinstalled at least 1 /4″ (6.4mm) from the switch housing to comply with UL 681 installation requirements
