How to use accessories

  • CAUTIONWhen using tools, always place the handle in an upright position. Make sure the vacuum cleaner is turned off while attaching tools.
  • Place vacuum in an upright position.
  • Pull up on hose connection to release hose end from hose inlet (Fig. 1).
  • Push the end of the hose into the top of the handle and twist clockwise until it clicks (Fig. 2).
  • Press handle release latch and pull out handle with a wand (Fig. 3).
  • To attach accessories, push the desired tool onto the end of the wand (Fig. 4).
  • To use accessories without a handle and wand, push desired tool directly onto the end of the hose (Fig. 5).
  • When finished using accessories, twist the hose counterclockwise and pull off the handle. Slide the handle into the top of the vacuum cleaner and push down until it clicks. Push the loose end of the hose securely onto the hose inlet. Store tools on vacuum cleaner back. (See page 5.)
  • CAUTION: Make sure vacuum cleaner is turned off while attaching turbo brush.

CAUTION:Make sure the vacuum is turned off and the power cord is unplugged.If the vacuum is not cleaning floors, or if no suction at end of the hose, check to be sure air path is not blocked.

  • Press the release button and lift off the dust cup (Fig. 1).
  • Empty debris. Holdover the wastebasket and press the lever to release the bottom lid (Fig. 2).
  • Check filter and filter screen. Remove any debris and shake off the dust.
  • Loosen end of the hose.
  • Use a rod or similar blunt implement to clear a blockage in a wand or hose. Flex hose to loosen debris (Fig. 3). Use caution if there is any risk that glass or nails could have become embedded in the hose.
  • Use finger to check for debris in air path (Fig. 4).
  • Reinstall filter and filter screen inside dust cup and position dust cup onto vacuum cleaner.

Warning: Never operate a vacuum cleaner without a foam filter, filter screen, and dust cup in the proper position.

CAUTIONMake sure the vacuum cleaner is turned off and the power cord is unplugged. Warning: Do not attempt to remove the belt. Call the Eureka Customer Service HELPLINE at 1-800-282-2886.Step on floor nozzle to lower handle. Turn vacuum face down on the floor. Use scissors to clip heavy threads or strings.Grasp brushroll bottom plate at the top and pull down to flip open.If the brushroll light turns red, this indicates the brushroll is clogged and cannot spin. Brushroll will automatically shut off. Turn the vacuum off and unplug before attempting to remove the clog.If debris cannot be removed easily, remove the bottom plate for greater access to the brushroll. Using a flat-head screwdriver or coin, turn 3 slots counterclockwise a quarter turn to ‘unlock’ position.To close the bottom plate, use a coin to turn slots clockwise to the ‘lock’ position.
