If the lever has a chain, detach now.C: REMOVE RED SEALPull from top groove and discard.STEP 4: INSTALL NEW SEAL

A: REPLACE RED SEALBe sure the seal is positioned in the very top groove at bottom of the flush valve tower.Proceed to Step 4B only if keeping your original lever. If replacing lever, proceed to Step 5A.

B: ATTACH LEVER TO FLUSH VALVE TUBEThread lever through flush valve loop while replacing tube onto the tower.Hand-tighten locknut. Do not overtighten. If reattaching the original chain, clip to the lever hole. Proceed to Step 5D.STEP 5: REMOVE AND REPLACE OLD LEVER

A: REMOVE LEVERUnscrew the tank lever nut by twisting counterclockwise, removing nut, and pulling the lever from the tank.NOTE: May require pliers if stuck.

B: INSTALL NEW LEVERSlide lever through tank hole. Slip locknut over lever arm (flat side of nut facing handle). Loosely hand-tighten locknut clockwise (reverse thread). C: ATTACH LEVER TO FLUSH VALVE TUBEThread lever arm through flush valve loop while replacing tube onto tower. If reattaching original chain, clip to lever hole.Hand-tighten locknut fully. Do not overtighten.D: REPLACE FLUSH VALVE STOP CAPTwist stop-cap (a) right (clockwise) to secure. Hand-tighten only. Do not overtighten.

STEP 6: ADJUST HEIGHT OF NEW FILL VALVEA: TWIST FILL VALVE TO ADJUST HEIGHT Top of fill valve cap should measure roughly 3″ above top of overflow pipe when installed.NOTE: Increasing height allows more water to fill in the tank.* The top of the overflow pipe must be a minimum of 1″ below tank lever hole.

STEP 7: INSTALL NEW FILL VALVE

A: PUSH REFILL TUBE ONTO FILL VALVE REFILL PORTB: INSERT FILL VALVEPosition refill tube to face flush valve making sure fill valve parts do not interfere with lever arm*.C: ATTACH REFILL CLIP TO OVERFLOW PIPENote: If the refill tube is too long to fit inside the tank with the lid closed, remove the refill tube from the fill valve refill port, cut the tube, and reattach to the port.D: INSTALL LOCKNUTScrew locknut to the right (counterclockwise) onto fill valve shank (below the tank).**Hand-tighten only. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN.* Make sure the float cup does not touch the tank walls or tank lever and flush valve.* * Overtightening may crack the fill valve or tank causing flooding.

STEP 8: FINISHING STEPS

A: ATTACH WATER SUPPLY CONNECTOR TO FILL VALVETwist to the right (counterclockwise)*Hand-tighten only.DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN.B: TURN ON WATERCheck for leaks.C: WATER LEVELAfter the tank stops filling, water level should fill the tank to roughly ½ inch below top of the overflow pipe to ensure a proper flush. (Does not need to be exact.)* Overtightening may crack the fill valve or tank causing flooding.** The top of the overflow pipe must be a minimum of 1″ below tank lever hole.

STEP 9: FINE-TUNE TANK WATER LEVEL

A: FLUSH THE TOILET TO CHECK THE TANK WATER LEVELAfter the water stops filling the tank, the water level should be roughly ½ inch below the top of the overflow pipe to ensure a proper flush.B: WATER LEVEL IS TOO LOWTurn the tank water level adjustment screw clockwise to raise the float. Flush to reset water level.WATER LEVEL IS TOO HIGHTurn the water level adjustment screw counterclockwise to lower the float. Flush to reset water level.STEP 10: FLUSH THE TOILETA: FLUSH THE TOILETIf you’re satisfied with the flush, YOU’RE DONE!YOU DID IT!We knew you could!
