HOW TO USE
  1.  Press On/Off button then the LCD will display 188.8°F (188.8°C) for 2 seconds, a fullscreen display is as below:Then it will show the last measurement. Wait until °F or °C flashes, then start measuring.
  2. If the environmental or ambient temperature temperature is higher than 109.2°F (42.9°C), LCD will display Hi°F (Hi°C). If lower than 89.6°F(32.0°C), it will display Lo°F (Lo°C).After turning on the thermometer, it will display below symbols in sequence: 188.8°F/°C, the last measurement (if the last temperature is lower than 89.6°F /32.0°C, it will be a Lo°F/Lo°C), the default setting temperature 98.6°F or 37 °C, then the current temperature of the flexible tip with a flickering °F/°C (if the ambient temperature is lower than 89.6°F /32.0°C, it will be a Lo with a flickering °F/°C) to indicate you are ready to test.NOTEThe Lo with a flickering °F/°C is not an indication of low battery. A true low battery symbol is an empty flickering battery. When the environment or ambient temperature is higher than 109.2°F(42.9°C), LCD will display Hi °F(Hi °C), in this case, you may need to wait till the temperature is lower than 109.2°F(42.9°C) to take.
  3.  Use alcohol to disinfect the probe then choose the method you prefer to measure:
    1. Oral use: Place the probe under tongue and close the mouth for approximately seconds to finish a measurement. Normal temperature range for an adult is 97.3 º F~98.9 º F (36.3°C ~37.2°C), as it applies to an oral read.
    2. Axillary use: Wipe armpit with dry towel then place the probe in armpit firmly for approximately 25~37 seconds to finish a measurement. Normal temperature range for an adult is 96.8 °F ~98.6 °F (36°C~ 37°C), as it applies to an auxiliary read.
    3. Rectal use: Lubricate the probe with water-soluble jelly such as K-Y jelly. Do not use petroleum jelly like Vaseline for easier insertion because this will adversely affect the accuracy of the result. Insert the probe into rectum about 1/2 inch at most (ensure not too deep to avoid injury) for about 25 seconds to complete the measurement. Normal temperature range for an adult is 97.7 ºF ~99.8 ºF (36.5°C ~37.7°C), as it applies to rectal read.
  4. A “Bi Bi Bi” alarm will sound a total of ten times indicating the completion of the temperature in the normal range.
    1. . The power will be shut off automatically if there is no temperature rising for 10 minutes.
  5. Replace the battery
    1. . Suitable for EMT-021The battery in your digital thermometer needs to be replaced when “ ” symbol flash in the corner of the display screen. To replace the battery

    4. Carefully slide the battery cover back into place.Notes:
      1.  It is suggested to stay with the same measurement method. This means especially not take oral or armpit measurements after taking rectum temperatures for hygienic reasons
      2.  Press the power button for approximately 10 seconds until the unit flickers in the shutdown state. Then, release the power key and then quickly press the power key again for a short time to switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius. Finally, turn the power button off and then back on, and the switch is successful.
