Please read these safety instructions carefully before use, and keep them for future question.

1. Safety indications

  • ALWAYS consult with your physician or supplier to determine proper adjustment and use of the device.
  • Don’t store outside and don’t let under the sun (Beware: don’t let the product in a car in case of high outside temperature !!).
  • Store in a dry room in a flat position to prevent deformating, stretching and tearing of outer film surface or foam.
  • Store away from sharp objects and pointed edges to prevent tears and punctures.
  • If stored below 15°C, unpack the cushion and expose it for 30 minutes in a room with a temperature > 15°C.
  • Transport flat to avoid tears and punctures.
  •  Look for cracks, tears and punctures in plastic/foam base before use.
  • Before using the cushion, make sure that the surface where you will place it, doesn’t have sharp or pointed edges which could destroy the outer film surface, the foam base or the cover.
  • Don’t use in extreme temperature conditions (above 38°C or 100°F or below 0°C or 32°F).
  • No modification must be made to this device.
  • Determine which seat is appropriate for your cushion.
  • ALWAYS check if the cushion is properly and securely positioned in place before using.
  • In case you didn’t use your cushion for a long time, let it checked by the technical staff, before using.
  • ALWAYS observe the weight limit on the labelling of your device.
  • Use only as a cushion and in a proper way: don’t knee or step on the product.
  • If your skin develops redness, discontinue the use of the cushion immediately and consult your doctor or therapist.
  •  Be carreful when placing the cushion on a wheelchair. The wheelchair has been designed to provide the needed stability during normal daily activities but adding a cushion will have an impact on the position of the centre of gravity, which may lead to the wheelchair tipping and a fall.
  • Follow the advice of the professional who prescribed this medical device, respect duration and frequency of use.
  • In case of discomfort consult your professional.

2. Indication

It is easier to prevent pressure ulcers than to treat them. Bedsores can be avoided by changing frequently lying or seating positions to avoid stress on the skin and to minimize the risk of pressure on vulnerable bony areas. Other strategies include skin care, regular skin inspections and good nutrition. Using a gel or foam cushion can help relieve pressure and make sure that the body is correctly positioned in the chair.

3. Description and Fitting instructions

Cushions are delivered either with a 3D or a polyurethane cover. Both covers feature an anti-slip base and are waterproof on the top. PU-cover:Made of waterproof, vapour permeable and fireproof urethane, with a zipper and 1 or 2 handles to carry it. Anti-slip base.Honeycomb or 3D cover:Made of waterproof, vapour permeable Polyester, with a zipper and 1 handle to carry it. Anti-slip base. Bulgel:The Bulgel is a flame-resistant pocket in which is located a 24kg PE foam core surrounded by an aquous liquid gel. Visco Mouss’:The Visco Mouss’ is a contoured moulded visco-elastic foam cushion. The high quality foam (86kg/m3) increases the contact.
