- Always unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet immediately after using and before cleaning.
WARNING – TO REDUCE THE RISK OF BURNS, ELECTRIC SHOCK, FIRE OR INJURY TO PERSONS:
- Always place the air revitalizer on a firm, flat, dry level surface
- Close supervision is necessary when this appliance is used by, or near children, pets, invalids or disabled persons.
- DO NOT operate this appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working properly, if it has been dropped or damaged, or dropped into water. Return it to HoMedics Service Center for examination and repair.
- DO NOT place or store appliance where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink. DO NOT place in or drop into water or other liquids.
- Keep cord away from heated surfaces.
- An appliance should NEVER be left unattended when plugged in. Unplug from outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off parts, before filling product with water, and before emptying water from product.
- DO NOT operate under a blanket or pillow.
- DO NOT carry this appliance by power cord or use cord as a handle.
- NEVER operate the appliance with the air openings blocked. Keep the air openings free of lint, hair, etc.
- NEVER drop or insert any object into any opening.
- DO NOT use outdoors.
- DO NOT operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used or where oxygen is being administered.
- To disconnect unit, turn all controls to the off position, then remove plug from outlet.
- Ensure that your hands are dry when operating the controls or removing the plug.
- Use this appliance only for its intended use as described in this manual. DO NOT use attachments or scented liquids not recommended by HoMedics.
- DO NOT reach for an appliance that has fallen into water. Unplug immediately.
- This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade wider than the other). The plug will fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to install the proper outlet. Do not change the plug in any way.
- If the item is tipped, unplug immediately and let dry for 24-hours.
- DO NOT carry or move unit while it is plugged in.
- DO NOT carry unit while fully assembled and full of water.
- DO NOT allow the top of the unit to get wet. If top of unit should get wet, unplug immediately and let dry for 24-hours before use.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
BEGINNING WITH PRODUCT UNPLUGGED:
- Remove top cover from bowl.
- Fill the bowl with cool water until the water level is between the Minimum and Maximum marks shown on the outside of the bowl (Fig.1). We recommend not using hard water to prevent mineral build up.
NOTE: When carrying the bowl to and from the sink, use the bowl’s easy-carry handle to prevent spills (Fig.2). - Add two (2) capfuls or 1 1/5 teaspoons of brethe solution directly into the water.NOTE: Amount may vary based on personal preference. Using more than four capfuls may shorten the life of your brethe unit.
- The water will turn milky white. This indicates the solution and water are emulsifying.
- Replace top cover on the bowl.
- Place unit on a level waterproof surface at least six inches from wall and furniture. Front of unit should face outward, toward the room.
- Plug unit into 120v outlet.
- The blue ring around the power button is illuminated. This indicates that the unit is plugged in, but not running.
- Press the button once: Unit begins running and water begins swirling; blue LED light illuminates bowl.
- Press the button again: Unit runs without blue LED light illuminating bowl.
- Press the button once again: Unit stops running; blue ring around the power button remains illuminated, but unit is not running.
NOTE: When carrying the bowl to and from the sink, use the bowl’s easy-carry handle to prevent spills (Fig.2).
The fragrance scent will last 4-6 hours, but the neutralization of odor causing bacteria, as well as the “rainforest” washing effects, will continue for up to 24 hours, as long as the air revitalizer is running and the water level is at the minimum line or above.
SPECIAL WARNINGS
- If you have any concerns regarding your health, consult your doctor before using brethe.
- This appliance is designed for personal, non-professional use only. This appliance should be used only for personal, non-professional uses.
- DO NOT mix solutions. Use only one scent at a time.
- DO NOT over-fill or under-fill the bowl. The Maximum and Minimum fill lines can be found on the outside of the bowl. See Fig. 1 illustration on page 4.
BOTANICAL SOLUTION WARNINGS
CAUTION: Eye Irritant. Keep out of reach of children and pets. This product is not a toy and solution is not intended for human consumption. Contact with enclosed solution may cause irritation. Wash hands thoroughly after handling.
- FIRST AID: If eye contact occurs, rinse immediately with plenty of water for 10 minutes. If ingestion occurs, drink plenty of water. Do not induce vomiting. If irritation persists, seek medical attention.
- If any of the solution is spilled on the floor, use a damp cloth to clean area to avoid slipping.
- Discontinue if allergic reaction is experienced.
- Solutions may stain.
MAINTENANCE
- Always disconnect main cord from electrical outlet before removing top cover or whenever the appliance is not in use.
- It is recommended to change the water every 24 hours.
- If top cover needs to be cleaned, use a damp cloth and wipe gently.
- Do not submerge top cover in water or wash under running water.
- To clean bowl, empty water and use a mild dish detergent to clean. Rinse fully with clean water and dry unit before next use.(Not dishwasher safe)
- Do not use any chemicals or abrasive scrubs to clean the unit.
- Clean inner cone once per month.
TO REMOVE CONE:
- Hold disk still with one hand while rotating cone counter-clockwise with other to unlock. (Fig.3)
- Gently pull cone outward to remove. (Fig.4)
- Wipe cone and disk with a damp cloth. Do not submerge top cover in water. The inside of the top cover can be cleaned with a damp cloth.
TO REATTACH CONE:
- Hold disk still with one hand.
- Align the four locking tabs, located at the base of the cone, with the four notches located on the disk. (Fig.5)
- Rotate cone clockwise to lock in place. (Fig.6)
- When storing your brethe unit, unplug product from electrical outlet, empty the water, and store in a dry, cool place.
- Keep water at an optimum level to avoid shortening the life of the motor.
