Limited Warranty
WHO IS COVERED:
This warranty covers only the original purchaser of the DEFENDER™ Theft Deterrent Locking Cube within 1-year after purchase. This warranty is not transferable.
HOW LONG DOES COVERAGE LAST:
Coverage lasts 1-year from the date of the original purchase.
WHAT IS COVERED:
Any defect in material or workmanship of your DEFENDER™ Theft Deterrent Locking Cube.
WHAT IS NOT COVERED:
This warranty does not cover damage due to misuse, abuse or accident such as:
- Failure to maintain the product as provided in the Locking Cube instruction manual
- Commercial use
- Improper or unauthorized repair or service
- Fire, flood, “acts of God” or other contingencies beyond the control of HoMedics, Inc.
WHAT HOMEDICS WILL DO:
Repair, and if not possible, replace your DEFENDER™ Theft Deterrent Locking Cube with anew or reconditioned model of the same type. If the model has been revised, you willreceive the most current model.

THE DURATION OF ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY IS LIMITED TO ONE YEAR. HOMEDICS SHALL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THE PURCHASE OR USE OF THE DEFENDER™ Theft Deterrent Locking Cube. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
Product Information
The DEFENDER™ Theft Deterrent Locking Cube is built to secure valuables. It will accommodate most standard size laptops, documents and small electronics. This product isintended for basic protection only. It is not intended to be used as furniture and will not support excessive weight. This will void warranty.
Setup
The customizable code lock can be programmed to any four digit combination.
To set code lock:
- Set the lock combination to the preset code of 0-0-0-0.
- Turn the lever to the 12 o’clock (vertical) position and open the drawer.
- Turn the lever back to the 3 o’clock (horizontal) position.
- Turn the knob on the back of the lock to “Set Code”.
- Set the dials on the front of the lock to your personalized combination. When you have entered your desired code, return the knob back to the “On” position.IMPORTANT: Record and store this combination in a safe place. Once the dial is turned to “On” the combination is set to your code. The lock cannot be unlocked or reset without this code. Homedics will not be responsible for any lost or misplaced codes.

The cable tether can be utilized for added security.
To attach cable tether:
- Open the cube’s door.
- Unscrew the knob on the bottom right of the cube.
- The cable is to be utilized to lock/secure drawer for security.
- Feed one looped end of tether through the looped end to secure it to the desired object.
- Feed the end of the tether through the opening on the rear right side of the cube.
- Place the loop of the tether over the raised plastic where the knob was.
- Reattach the knob by screwing it back in. This will secure your locking cube to the object.
The shelf can be adjusted to three different heights.
To adjust the shelf:
- Pull shelf out of the cube.
- Slide shelf back in so it is resting on the ledges at the desired height.
Operation
Usage
To open drawer:To open the drawer, turn the code lock to the correct combination. The factory setting for the combination will be 0-0-0-0. Turn the black lever to the 12 o’clock (vertical) position and open the drawer.
To lock door:To lock, close the drawer and turn the black lever to the 3 o’clock (horizontal) position. Then turn any of the dials to digits other than the combination.
Cleaning
The locking cube can be cleaned by wiping with a damp cloth. Be sure to remove all items from the drawers before cleaning.
