Limited WarrantyWHO IS COVERED:This warranty covers only the original purchaser of the DEFENDER™ Theft DeterrentLocking Drawer within 1-year after purchase. This warranty is not transferable.

HOW LONG DOES COVERAGE LAST:Coverage lasts 1-year from the date of the original purchase.

WHAT IS COVERED:Any defect in material or workmanship of your DEFENDER™ Theft-Deterrent Locking Drawer.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED:This warranty does not cover damage due to misuse, abuse or accident such as:• failure to maintain the product as provided in the locking drawer instruction manual• commercial use• improper or unauthorized repair or service• fire, flood, “acts of God” or other contingencies beyond the control ofHoMedics, Inc.

WHAT HOMEDICS WILL DO:Repair, and if not possible, replace your DEFENDER™ Theft Deterrent Locking Drawer witha new or reconditioned model of the same type. If the model has been revised, you willreceive the most current model.

THE DURATION OF ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY IS LIMITEDTO ONE YEAR. HOMEDICS SHALL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR INCIDENTAL ORCONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THE PURCHASE OR USE OF THEDEFENDER™ Theft Deterrent Locking Drawer. Some states do not allow limitations onhow long an implied warranty lasts, or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequentialdamages, so the above limitations may not apply to you. This warranty gives youspecific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

Product InformationThe DEFENDER™ Theft Deterrent Locking Drawer is built to secure valuables. It willaccommodate most standard size laptops, documents and small electronics. This productis intended for basic protection only. It is not intended to be used as furniture and will notsupport excessive weight. This will void warranty.

SetupThe customizable code lock can be programmed to any four digit combination.To set code lock:1. Set the lock combination to the preset code of 0-0-0-0.2. Turn the lever to the 12 o’clock (vertical) position and open the drawer.3. Turn the lever back to the 3 o’clock (horizontal) position.4. Turn the knob on the back of the lock to “Set Code”.5. Set the dials on the front of the lock to your personalized combination. When youhave entered your desired code, return the knob back to the “On” position.IMPORTANT: Record and store this combination in a safe place. Once the dial isturned to “On” the combination is set to your code. The lock cannot be unlockedor reset without this code. Homedics will not be responsible for any lost ormisplaced codes.6. The lock combination is now set to your personalized code.The cable tether can be utilized for added security.

To attach cable tether:1. Remove the drawer from the housing.2. Unscrew the knob on the bottom right of the housing.3. The cable is to be utilized to lock/secure drawer for security.4. Feed one looped end of tether through the looped end to secure it to the desiredobject.5. Feed the end of the tether through the opening on the rear right side of thehousing.6. Place the loop of the tether over the raised plastic where the knob was.7. Reattach the knob by screwing it back in. This will secure your locking drawer to theobject.

OperationUsageTo open drawer:To open the drawer, turn the code lock to the correct combination. The factory setting forthe combination will be 0-0-0-0.Turn the black lever to the 12 o’clock (vertical) position and open the drawer.

To lock door:To lock, close the drawer and turn the black lever to the 3 o’clock (horizontal) position.Then turn any of the dials to digits other than the combination.

CleaningThe locking drawer can be cleaned by wiping with a damp cloth. Be sure to remove allitems from the drawers before cleaning.
