ONE YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY(Valid in USA only)

HoMedics, Inc., guarantees this product free from defects inmaterial and workmanship for a period of one year from thedate of original purchase, except as noted below.

This HoMedics product warranty does not cover damagecaused by misuse or abuse; accident; the attachment of anyunauthorized accessory; alteration to the product; or anyother conditions whatsoever that are beyond the control ofHoMedics. This warranty is effective only if the product is purchasedand operated in the USA. A product that requiresmodification or adaptation to enable it to operate in anycountry other than the country for which it was designed,manufactured, approved and/or authorized, or repair of productsdamaged by these modifications is not covered underwarranty. HoMedics shall not be responsible for any type ofincidental, consequential or special damages. All implied warranties,including but not limited to those implied warrantiesof fitness and merchantability, are limited in the total durationof one year from the original purchase date.

To obtain warranty service on your HoMedics product, eitherhand deliver or mail the unit and your dated sales receipt (asproof of purchase), postpaid, along with check or moneyorder in the amount of $5.00 payable to HoMedics, Inc. tocover handling.

Upon receipt, HoMedics will repair or replace, as appropriate,your product and return it to you, postpaid. If it is appropriateto replace your product, HoMedics will replace the productwith the same product or a comparable product atHoMedics’ option. Warranty is solely through HoMedicsService Center. Service of this product by anyone other thanHoMedics Service Center voids warranty

This warranty provides you with specific legal rights. You mayhave additional rights which may vary from state to state.Because of individual state regulations, some of the abovelimitations and exclusions may not apply to you.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONSWhen using an electrical appliance, basic precautions should always befollowed, including the following:

READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING

• Unit should never be used in the presence (direct or indirect) of anyliquids. The Style Spa Traveler is not waterproof, and will short circuitwhen in contact with liquids. This includes areas of extreme humidity(i.e. bathroom), where corrosion can take place.
• Avoid exerting strong pressure on the attachments. Never drop orstrike the unit against a hard surface.
• Dead batteries should be immediately removed from the batterycompartment, as they will leak and corrode the internal contacts.
• Do not use Style Spa Traveler while showering or bathing, or withwet hands.
• Do not place or store the unit where it can fall or be pulled into a tub orsink. Do not submerge or drop into water or any other liquid.
• Never reach for an appliance that falls into water.
• Never operate Style Spa Traveler if it is not working properly, if it hasbeen dropped or damaged, or if it has fallen into water. Return it to3HoMedics Service Center for examination and repair. (See the warrantysection for HoMedics address). Do not attempt to repair the applianceyourself.
• Always switch the appliance off when it is not in use andbefore cleaning.
• Use the Style Spa Traveler only for its intended use as described inthis manual. Do not use attachments not recommended by HoMedics,specifically any attachments not provided with the unit.
• This appliance is not suitable for commercial use.
• This unit is not a toy. Children should not use it or play with it. Keep StyleSpa Traveler out of children’s reach. Close supervision is necessary whenusing the appliance on or near children, invalids or disabled persons.

SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONSCaution—Please read all instructionscarefully before using the Style Spa Traveler.

• If you have any concerns regarding your health, consult your doctor beforeusing this product.
• If you are susceptible to allergic reactions or if you have circulatoryproblems, consult a physician before using this product.
• Do not use on irritated, sunburned or chapped skin, or on any area withdermatological problems.
• Do not apply over skin eruptions, warts, moles or varicose veins.
• Use of Style Spa Traveler should be easy and painless. If you experiencenail or skin irritation, or hand discomfort when using this product,discontinue use. If a more extreme reaction occurs, consult your doctor.

Using Your Style Spa TravelerThe Style Spa Traveler comes complete with four traveler-stylemanicure tools.

Shaping FilesChoose the shaping file that most suits the nail’s size and thickness. Forsmaller, thinner nails, use the small shaping file (Inset A). For larger,thicker nails, use the large shaping file (Inset B). Lightly apply the file tothe edge of your nail, moving the unit along the side of the nail until youachieve the shape and smoothness you desire.

Cuticle LifterAfter shaping nails and treating rough skin, gently push back eachcuticle using the cuticle lifter (Inset C). You may choose to soak andmoisturize your hands before this stage (moisturizer not included).

Polishing ToolFinally, dry hands if necessary and lightly buff the nail surface to smoothnail edges and add shine (Inset D).

Applying Attachments

1. This unit is powered by 1 “AA” battery (not included).
2. Choose one of the product’s four interchangeable attachments andgently snap it into the unit’s handle.
3. Switch the unit on and lightly apply the attachment tot the nail orskin surface.
4. Periodically stop treatment to check your results.
5. When finished, switch unit to the “OFF” position. Wait for theattachment to come to a stop, then remove it for storage orreplacement.
6. After using, wipe the metal surface of the attachment with a dampcloth to remove residue.

After Your ManicureAfter filing and shaping nails, you may bathe hands to rehydrate nails and soften cuticles.Soak your hands in a lukewarm bath for 15 minutes. Next, massage moisturizer(not included) into the skin and into each nail, paying close attention to your cuticles.Finally, dry hands completely and apply the polishing cone to smooth edges andlightly buff nail surface for added shine.

Tips for Keeping Nails HealthyTo achieve the best results from your Style Spa Traveler, follow these guidelines.

• Avoid placing harsh chemicals on nails.
• Avoid exposing hands and feet to cold, dry environments. Always wear gloves in cold temperatures.
• Avoid strong soaps, detergents and excessive washing of hands.
• For best results, do not bathe hands or feet before applying Style Spa Traveler attachments.
• Proper nail hydration is key to strong, healthy nails that resist chipping andsplitting. After using Style Spa Traveler attachments, soak hands in a warm, soapy, 15-minute bath to restore moisture. Next, rub a light moisturizer (not included) into your skin, nails and cuticles to soften hands and protect nails.
• To prevent nails from splitting and peeling, wear high-quality nail polish (notincluded) to protect against harsh elements and seal in moisture. Polish nailsbefore applying any moisturizer.
• Avoid changing polish more than twice a month.
• Keep your cuticles healthy by first moisturizing and then gently pushing back your cuticles with the Style Spa Traveler’s cuticle lifter.
• Use Style Spa Traveler shaping files rather than nail scissors for safer, morecontrolled removal.
• Wait seven to 10 days before re-buffing nails to maintain the thickness ofnail surface.

MaintenanceTO STOREPlace attachments into their proper compartments inside the storage case. Storecase in a safe, dry place, out of children’s reach.

TO CLEANALWAYS TURN OFF THE UNIT BEFORE CLEANING.Never use liquids or abrasive cleaners to clean the housing of the unit or the case.Wipe off case with a damp cloth. Clean attachments periodically using alcohol. Allow attachments to dry before inserting them into the controller handle.

CAUTION:WHEN USING ATTACHMENTS, STOP TREATMENTOCCASIONALLY TO MONITOR  YOUR RESULTS
