Sound Spa helps create your perfect sleep environment. You can fall asleep to any of its ten calming sounds. Sound Spa can also mask distractions to improve your concentration while you read, work or study.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:
When using an electrical appliance, basic precautions should always be followed, including the following:

DANGER – To reduce the risk of electric shock:
- Always unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet immediately after using and before cleaning.
- Do not reach for an appliance that has fallen into water. Unplug it immediately.
- Do not place or store appliance where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink. Do not place in or drop into water or other liquid.
WARNING – To reduce the risk of burns, fire, electric shock or injury to persons:
- Close supervision is necessary when this appliance is used by or near children, invalids or disabled persons.
- Use this appliance only for its intended use as described in this manual. Do not use attachments not recommended by HoMedics; specifically any attachments not provided with the unit.
- Never operate this appliance if it has a damaged cord, plug, cable or housing. If it is not working properly, if it has been dropped or damaged, return it to Homedics Service Center for examination and repair.
- Keep cord away from heated surfaces.
- Never drop or insert any object into any opening.
- Do not operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used or where oxygen is being administered.
- Do not carry this appliance by power cord or use cord as handle.
- To disconnect, remove plug from outlet.
- This appliance is designed for indoor use only. Do not use outdoors.
- Only set on dry surfaces. Do not place on surface wet from water or cleaning solvents.
Caution: All servicing of this product must be performed by authorized HoMedics Service Personnel only.

Caution – Please read all instructions carefully before operating.
- Never leave the appliance unattended, especially if children are present.
- Never cover the appliance when it is in operation.
- This unit should not be used by children without adult supervision.
- Always keep the cord away from high temperature and fire.
- Do not lift, carry, hang, or pull the product by the power cord.
- If the adaptor sustains damage, you must stop using this product immediately and contact the HoMedics Service Center. (See the warranty section for the HoMedics address.)
Note: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:
- Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
- Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
- Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
- Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help
Note: The manufacturer is not responsible for any radio or TV interference caused by unauthorized modifications to this equipment. Such modifications could void the user authority to operate the equipment.

Assembly and Instructions for Use
- Unpack the product and check to make sure everything is included (Fig 1).
- This unit is powered by a DC adaptor, which is included or by three “AA” batteries, which are not included.
- Attach the DC adaptor jack to the base of the unit and insert the cord into a 120V household outlet.
- To install batteries, remove compartment cover. Insert three “AA” batteries into the compartment on the bottom according to the polarity direction indicated. Replace cover and snap into place.Note: Do not mix different types of batteries together (e.g., alkaline with carbon-zinc or old batteries with new ones).
Listening to Nature Sounds
- Power the unit on by turning the VOLUME knob in the clockwise direction.
- Press the button of the sound you wish to listen to (Fig 2).
- To adjust the volume, turn the VOLUME knob (Fig 3) to your desired level.
- When finished listening to the sounds you may turn them off by turning the VOLUME knob to the off position (Fig 3).
Using the Auto-Timer
- When the power is on and you are listening to a nature sound you may set a timer so the unit will automatically turn off.
- Toggle through the TIMER button (Fig 3) until the corresponding LED illuminates next to the time of your choice, 15, 30 or 45 minutes. The unit will automatically shut off after the selected time. If you choose to listen to another timed sound press the timer button to select a desired time.Note: Do not select the TIMER button if you wish to listen to the sounds continuously.
Using the Night Light
- To turn on the Night Light, press the Night Light button. (Fig 3). Toggle through your color choices (White, Blue, Green and Purple) until you reach the desired color.
- To turn off the Night Light, press the Night Light button and toggle through the color choices till the light turns off.
Maintenance
To Store
You may leave the unit on display, or you can store it in its box or a cool, dry place.
To Clean
Wipe off dust with a damp cloth. NEVER use liquids or abrasive cleaner to clean.
Modifications not authorized by the manufacturer may void users authority to operate this device.
