Start Here

  1. Install two (2) AAA batteries (not included). Make sure the terminals (+/-) are correct.
  2. Wait for 10 to 15 minutes for the thermometer to acclimate to the ambient temperature before use.
  3. Press the Scan Button, point towards the forehead from a distance of 1.2 to 2 inches away, and press the Scan button again to take the temperature.

  1. How do I use my thermometer?Answer: Please install 2 AAA alkaline batteries (not included). Wait 10 to 15 minutes for the thermometer to acclimate to the ambient temperature. Press the SCAN button to activate the thermometer, point towards the forehead about 1.2 to 2 inches away, and press the SCAN button to take the measurement.
  2. Why cannot my thermometer be turned on?Answer: Please check the battery installation. Make sure the terminals (+1-) are correct.
  3. Why does my thermometer seem to read body temperature inaccurately? Answer:A. It could be caused by pointing at the wrong location. Please point at the FOREHEAD only, not the temples.B. It could be caused by dramatic ambient temperature changes. Please wait 15 to 20 minutes to allow the thermometer to acclimate to the ambientC. It could be caused by hair, perspiration, or a draft. Please move the hair, wipe the perspiration or move to a location where there is no air blowing.
  4. Why does my thermometer show “Lo” on the screen?Answer: It does NOT mean the battery is low. It could be caused by pointing the thermometer to the air or to the wrong location or moving the thermometer away from the forehead too quickly when it is in Body mode. Please reinstall the batteries, point the thermometer at the forehead, press the SCAN button until hearing the beep, and then check the reading.
  5. Why does my thermometer show “Hi” on the screen?Answer: It exceeds the measuring limit. It shows “Hi” when the temperature exceeds 109.4°F (43°C) in Body mode or exceeds 140°F(60°C) in Surface temp mode or exceeds 104°F (40°C) in Room mode.
