IKEA Vetskap Community Face Covering Instruction Manual
The reusable community face covering is intended for private use and complements protective measures and social distancing rules. Not to be used as a respiratory mask or by healthcare professionals in contact with patients.
The reusable community face covering does not meet the requirements for medical use in accordance with EU Directive 93/42/EEC, nor the requirements for personal protective equipment (respiratory mask) in accordance with EU Regulation 2016/425.
Complies with CWA 17553:2020 requirements; level 70% recommendations.
Filtration effect >90% for >3 μm sized particles released by the person wearing the mask.
After 10 washing cycles at 60°C, the filtration effect is >70%.
Intended for adults only.
Can be washed max. 10 times and be used max. 11 times.
Machine-wash (60°C) for at least 30 minutes.
Do not bleach.
Do not dryclean.
Tumble drying, normal temperature (max 80°C).
Iron, max 110°C.
Do not use softener.
Shrinkage maximum 4%.
The reusable community face covering can be used for max. 4 hrs.
Do not use the face covering when participating in vigorous physical activity.
During a 4-hour period, the face covering can be used several times. Remove and store it with as little contact as possible.
Store the face covering in a clean separate bag.
Replace the face covering with a clean one as soon as it becomes damp, and wash the used face covering according to the washing instructions.
Remove the face covering first from the back and then over the front of the face. Do not touch the front side of the face covering.
Before disposing of the reusable community face covering, it should be washed according to the washing instructions.
At the end of its life, dispose of the face covering in accordance with local regulations.

If you are ill, this community face covering is unsuitable to use. Seek advice from your doctor.
Community face coverings are not suitable for children under 3 years of age.
The community face covering cannot be used as protection against chemicals.
Always check that the community face covering is correctly fitted and covers your nose, mouth and chin.
It is recommended that this community face covering be worn against bare skin. Beards can reduce the stated filtration effect.
