NORMA FACE SHIELDThe cooperation between the University Hospital Frankfurt, the FWS and the NORMA Group
Three strong partners – one strong solution
- Due to the Corona pandemic, the NORMA Group contacted the University Hospital Frankfurt to offer that face shields could be produced using injection molding if required.
- This resulted in a close cooperation with a project team of the University Hospital, which was already involved in the production of face shields.
- The development from the first prototype to the finished product took place in a record time of only four weeks, to which our partner, Formen- und Werkzeugbau GmbH from Schönebeck, contributed significantly.
- Doctors and nurses at the University Hospital Frankfurt tested different design variants and submitted suggestions for further optimization.
- The combination of the medical-technical know-how of the University Hospital Frankfurt, the development expertise of the NORMA Group and the experience of the toolmaking professional FWS were instrumental to the success of the project.
