FAQS
Jabra Evolve 65 has a mute function but it is very unpractical…– The headphones have no visual indication whether the microphone is currently muted or not! Only when you use the USB dongle – it will glow red when the headphones are muted. (This indication is not reliable!)– Fortunately there is an audible indication. When muted the headphones produce a short sound signal every 20 seconds. This indication is not reliable!– To mute/unmute you have to press the volume down button for more than approximately 1 second (the headphones will beep). But if you press it for more than approximately 3 seconds it will not work!– The mute/unmute control does not work when there is no application actively using the microphone running! (eg. sound recording, or a call on a phone)– These headphones do not have the intuitive mute control by turning the microphone up (as other headphones have).– After turning the headphones off and on stopping the listening application the headphones are unmuted again. So by default the microphones is always possibly listening.

Functionally, the MS and UC certified headsets are almost the same. The main difference is in the pre-configured settings of the headset. The MS models are certified for Microsoft Skype for Business ; support Microsoft Skype for Business, right out of the box. These models support features for answering and ending calls, adjusting the volume and muting without the need for additional configurations or settings. You can simply plug-and-play the headset. If you or your business is not using Microsoft Skype for Business, choose the standard UC model. Similarly, all the features you see in MS models works with your preferred softphone right out of the box. Just plug-and-play.
Yes you can. But the quality of the connection won’t be as good, line will be noisy depending on the quality of your bluetooth . And you will lose integration with voIP software, for instance the mute button will not be synchronized between the headset and the software (Skype for example) it will still mute, but the mute in the software and the mute in the headset won’t know if the other is activated

that is an excellent question about the Jabra Evolve 65. At this time, the Evolve 65 does not allow for you to hear your own voice through the speaker while you are on a call.
There are buttons on the headset (same side as mic) that allow you to turn up/down the volume. There should have been a “get started” guide included with your headset. It provides directions on using the features.
