JBL CLIP 4 Manual

Please make sure the speaker and your device are in the same network.

Please check if the speaker is in pairing mode. If not, please press the Bluetooth button for 3 seconds to enter pairing mode. If there is no sound after pairing, please check if your phone supports A2DP. If yes, please try to restart your phone and pair again. If there is still no sound, please check if you have selected the right Bluetooth profile on your phone. If yes, please try to restart your phone and pair again. If there is still no sound, please restart your speaker and try again.

Please make sure your phone supports A2DP and AVRCP profiles. You can refer to the user manual of your phone for details. If it still doesn’t work, please restart your device and try again.

Please make sure that you have installed the latest version of JBL Connect app on your computer (available on www.jblaudio.com/connect). Also make sure that you have paired the speaker with the computer via Bluetooth first before connecting via JBL Connect app.

Please check if you have selected “Forget this Device” or “Forget this Computer” on your device or computer respectively when you are trying to connect to JBL Clip 4 via Bluetooth or JBL Connect app. Otherwise, it will be disconnected automatically after a certain period of time without any action from users’ side. You can select “Remember this Device” or “Remember this Computer” to prevent this from happening in future connections between JBL Clip 4 and devices or computers respectively.

Check if you have selected “Forget this Device” or “Forget this Computer” on your device or computer respectively when you are trying to connect to JBL Clip 4 via Bluetooth or JBL Connect app respectively. Otherwise, it will be disconnected automatically after a certain period of time without any action from users’ side. You can select “Remember this Device” or “Remember this Computer” to prevent this from happening in future connections between JBL Clip 4 and devices or computers respectively. Also check if your device supports A2DP profile and has been paired with JBL Clip 4 successfully before trying to play music via Bluetooth connection between them. If yes, please try to restart both devices and reconnect them again via Bluetooth connection before playing music through them together again in future connections between them respectively. If there is still no sound after reconnecting.

The USB-C port is uncovered, which is of note because the Clip 4 still manages an IP67 rating, meaning that it’s fully waterproof and resistant to dust. The speaker can be submerged for up to 30 minutes in a meter of water without issue.

Neither the Go 3 or Clip 4 has speakerphone capabilities or pairs with a companion JBL app (the Clip 3 has a built-in microphone for speakerphone calls), so you can’t link up multiple speakers in “PartyBoost” mode like you can with some of JBL’s step-up Bluetooth speakers such as the Flip 5 and Charge 4.

To check the battery level on your JBL speaker, simply press the power button. The LED light will indicate the current battery level. If the light is red, that means the battery is low and you’ll need to recharge it. If the light is green, that means the battery is fully charged.

Note that, JBL speakers can turn off automatically if you do not connect them to any device after about 10 minutes. These devices do this to save power. If your device switches off after ten or so minutes, all you need to do is power it back on and connect it to a device to start enjoying music.

A JBL speaker blinking red indicates a low battery level. This may vary from one model to the other, but it is usually an indication that your speaker needs to be charged. The intensity and frequency of the flashing LED will be different for every JBL model.

When you plug in your JBL Go 2 to your power source, the LED indicator will blink red. It will only turn off when your speaker is fully charged and ready to go. The well distinct sounds accompanied by an LED indicator lets you know when your device is connected, fully charged, paired, or powered on.
