Getting started
Thank you for purchasing this John Lewis Partnership product. For your safety, and to make sure everything is working properly, please read the instructions carefully before use.
Warnings
To prevent electric shock, switch off at the mains supply before installing or maintaining this fitting. Ensure another person cannot restore the electricity supply without your knowledge.
If you are in any doubt, please consult a qualified electrician. Always use the recommended bulb type and rated power. Never exceed the rated power stated.The flexible cable on this luminaire, if damaged, shall only be replaced by the manufacturer or his service agent or a similar qualified person. It is the installer’s responsibility to ensure that the fixings and plugs used are suitable for the surface you are fixing your product on.
Caution! The bulb and surrounding parts can become hot during use. Do not cover. Keep away from curtains, bedding etc. Always route mains cable so it does not present a hazard (entrapment, tripping etc.); Ensure that there are no twists or snags in the cable. Plug into the mains supply; switch on using the inline cord switch provided. When moving this lamp, always carry by holding the stand part.

Product assembly
Step 1
Unpack the product and remove all packaging material. Be careful not to scratch the surface of the product whilst removing the wrapping.
Step 2
Remove the shade ring and metal spacer already attached to the lamp holder. Place the shade over the lamp holder, refit metal spacer, and use shade ring to secure the shade in place.
Step 3
Attach the recommended type and rated power bulb to the lamp holder (bulb not included).Do not use a bulb that exceeds the maximum power indicated (see reverse).
Step 4
Insert the plug into the power supply and turn on the switch.

- Why is the light not working when switched on?
- Check your power supply is switched on
- Turn off light and check that the bulb is inserted correctly
- Check the bulb is still in working order.
