1. Introduction

Congratulations on the purchase of your new KlipXtreme® KSB-220 soundbar with Bluetooth® wireless technology. We invite you to visit us at www.klipxtreme.com for support and to find out more about this audio system and other new and exciting products.

2. Package content

To get the most of your audio system, please take a few minutes to read the following instructions and familiarize yourself with the operation of the unit. Before setting up the device, make sure that the following items are included in box:

  • Soundbar
  • Optical digital cable
  • 3.5mm auxiliary cable
  • Coaxial cable
  • Remote control with batteries
  • Quick installation guide

Unpack your unit carefully. We recommend that you save the box and all original packing materials, in case you wish to store the unit, or if you ever need to return it for service.

 

3. Product overview

Remote control

In addition to the right-side panel buttons, an infrared remote control is included which provides additional functions to allow greater control over the media player.

  1. Install the supplied batteries in the remote control following the correct polarity as indicated inside the compartment.
  2. In order for the remote to operate properly, ensure that it is pointed toward the front of the soundbar.

 

4. USB, Auxiliary, Coaxial and Optical digital connections

  1. Insert one end of the supplied coaxial or optical digital cable into the matching input jack on the back of the soundbar and the other end on the device you wish to play audio from.
  2. For wired playback, connect one end of the supplied auxiliary cable to the corresponding port on the soundbar and the other end to audio devices fitted with a 3.5mm jack.
  3. Likewise, if you want to play music directly from a flash drive, simply insert your storage device into the USB port on the right side of the unit.
  4. Plug the AC cable into a wall outlet.
  5. Turn on the soundbar by pressing the Power button on the main unit. You can also press the red Power button on the remote control.
  6. Select the input mode by pressing the button corresponding to the source you want to play audio from, located on the remote control.
  7. Using the controls on the remote, you can manage and select your tracks, increase or lower the volume, mute the soundbar audio, etc.

Note: For digital audio (coaxial and optical connection) the setting in the source device has to be changed to PCM audio format.

 

5. Advanced operation

Pairing the soundbar with your Bluetooth® device

Note: Before installing this product, please make sure your device is compatible with Bluetooth®.

  1. First switch the system on from the standby mode using the button  found on the right side of the unit or on the remote control, if you haven’t done so already. The BT indication will appear on the display.
  2. Place both devices not more than one meter away from each other.
  3. Enable the Bluetooth® function on your audio device and set it to discover the wireless soundbar.
  4. Select the Bluetooth® mode on the soundbar. A short beep will be heard, and the BT icon starts blinking to indicate that the system has entered into the pairing mode.
  5. Once the soundbar appears listed under the newly found Bluetooth® devices (KSB-220), the pairing process will start.
  6. If pairing is successful, another short beep will be heard, and the BT icon will stop blinking.
  7. If after 60 seconds the pairing process fails, please repeat steps 1 through 6 described above.

 

6. Technical specification

Sound quality and volume level adjustment will depend on the device source and the type of media file being played.

Precautions

  • Do NOT drop, hit or shake the device.
  • Do NOT disassemble, repair or modify the soundbar yourself.
  • There are no user serviceable parts inside the unit. Only qualified personnel should be allowed to perform repairs on the unit without voiding the warranty.
  • Do NOT use cleaning products that contain benzene, solvents or alcohol.
  • Do NOT expose the soundbar to excessive heat or to direct sunlight for long periods of time.
  • Do NOT place heavy objects on top of the soundbar.
  • Do NOT use near a microwave oven or wireless LAN products.
  • Do NOT place containers with liquid on top or near the soundbar.
  • The device must be placed on a flat and stable surface.
