DRAIN RISER INSTALLATIONP/N’S DR3-GT & DR3-GB

The drain riser is applied where a hole is not provided for the lower ice machine drain tube and one is not desired. This would include non-Kold-Draft bins and dispenser applications. If not provided, an opening must be cut in the bin top corresponding to the ice drop zone.Holes are provided in the drain riser bottom flanges to attach it to the ice storage bin. The bin must be prepared to allow the drain riser to be fastened. A 1/4-20 threaded insert is typically used for this purpose. Other suitable non-corroding fasteners may also be used.Apply gasket material (supplied with the ice machine) to the ice storage bin top. Thegasket material must be positioned at the outside edge of the ice machine frame.Position the drain riser on the bin, but do not attach at this time. The correctplacement of the riser has the drain tube hole in the back side on the right (as youface the front).Apply gasket material (supplied with the drain riser) to the top flanges of the riser. The gasket material must be positioned at the outside edge of the riser.Remove the ice machine front-cover panel, top-cover panel and side-cover panels from the ice machine frame.Carefully lift the ice machine and position it on the drain riser. The ice machine backshould be flush with the riser back and the sides even and parallel.Attach the ice machine to the drain riser using the hardware provided with the riser.Attach the riser to the bin using the hardware provided, with the ice machine, or other suitable non-corroding fasteners.Follow the ice machine instructions for the remainder of the ice machine installation.
