2-Stall Diesel Shed Assembly Instructions For Kits 306 and 306-A

Materials Needed

1   1oz. Bottle Zap-A-Gap1   Tube Ambroid or Duco Cement1   Can 3m Spray Adhesive

Custom Painting

  1. Remove any remaining flash from windows and edges of wall sections.
  2. The kit already comes pre-painted in grey to resemble concrete block. However you may want to paint the wood around the windows for added detail.  Any additional detail painting should be performed at this time.

Assembly Instructions Kit 306

  1. This kit is fairly long and therefore it is recommended that you construct the kit on a Masonite or ¼” plywood base for added rigidity.
  2. Lay (2) side wall sections out on a flat surface and dry fit them together and verify that the bottom edges are straight and that there are no gaps along the contact edge between the two walls.  If gaps are present, file the edges to make a flush fit.  When ready glue the two pieces together. Repeat Step 2 to assemble the opposite side wall.
  3. Assemble the wooden superstructures using the template provided in the kit.  3 frames are required for the kit, (1) at each end walls and (1) for the middle (kit includes sufficient wood for 5 frames).  I prefer Duco cement for this step.  Note: if you wish to detail the wooden frames it is recommended that you do so prior to installation.
  4. Allow side walls and frames to dry completely before assembly of building.
  5. Cut window glass and glue to back of windows and skylights.
  6. Using a square to maintain right angles at the corners, assemble 1 front and 1 side wall section. Repeat for rear wall and the other side wall section. Allow to dry, and then glue the two sections together to form the building.
  7. Next insert and glue in place the (3) wooden frames.  Locate (1) at each end wall (frame will act as roof support and corner brace) and the other in the center over the seam between the side wall sections (dry fit the center support and verify that it is centered so that it will support both skylights).
  8. Fit and glue in place the skylights.
  9. Fit and glue in place roof sections with Ambroid or Duco cement.  Let dry and sand the joints with fine sandpaper.
  10. If desired, added roof gravel by first masking off all wall areas and skylights.  Then spray the roof sections with spray adhesive and sprinkle with roof gravel until covered.  Allow to dry and then shake off access gravel.

Congratulations, you have completed your Korber Models kit!  We hope it brings you many years of enjoyment on your layout.
